I do know they pay people to go and make sure the players are in class.

Pretty sure that has been around before.  Not exactly the last two coaches, but Knight had something similar.  If you missed class you better be dying or you will wish you were.

When I was in school (RMK era 1994-1999) I heard some of the guys only showed up for tests/quizzes...so I'm guessing it was more about making sure they were at class on the necessary days.  Heck I had a class with Larry Richardson and he definitely did not show up for every session.

Not sure this is uncommon. Matta's father in-law has the same position at OSU.

Let's not take that way from them, please. [/quote]They have a full time tutor but for the most part ...most of them have been very capable.

You can usually tell by listening to 30 seconds of an interview which ones are capable and which aren't.

seriously though.

for example, you can tell right away that Cody Zeller wasn't a very smart guy.  :dancer:

Whats Creans bonus if he makes the NIT or NCAA?

Don't know about his new contract, but the additional contract got him $25k for making the tournament, $25k for winning first game and $35k for winning second game (making Sweet 16), which means the 2012 run netted him a bonus of $85k.

He didn't have any provisions in his original contract for making the NIT, but he earned at least $125k bonus for winning the B1G regular season in 2013 (he had signed the extension by then, but old contract had $125k bonus).

I just figured his hands will be raw by the time he's 50. Maybe some hand lotion and quality leather belts.

Eh, as much sideline clapping as he's done in 6 years here he's probably got enough calluses built up to last 3 people a lifetime.

Before anyone gets completely unhinged at that comment, I'm joking....well, kind of...sort of.
