Who will be our ruler of the this year?

Recommended Posts

I'm just asking who going to be our center this year lol

I don't think Crean even identifies a true center in his scheme.  I think we will play a bit smaller with some combination of 5 guards & forwards most of the time.  It isn't like there are beast centers out there anymore.  The bigger concern is forward match-ups.  Skilled power forwards are in a larger supply than skilled centers.  Devin is under-sized either way.  He might have a bit of AJ Moye in him.  A lot hinges on how much Hanner can progress.

Because it's a real possibility it will not be hanner it's honestly up in the air and it should be whoever comes out and plays harder they don't need to score a lot just tear up the boards and set screens for Blackmon and Johnson

The options are so limited that if Hanner can't earn the most minutes in that spot, we are in big trouble.  I'm sure April get some run too but Hanner needs to become a consistent part of the rotation now.  Unless Peter Jurkin suddenly becomes a serviceable player.  Otherwise I see Hanner first, April second and otherwise just some smaller lineups in general that don't involve either player.

There is zero chance April grabs more boards or gets more run than Hanner. Despite his lack of development, he is going to be a Junior and has two seasons under his belt. April will develop in to a good player, but he's definitely a work in progress.
