Based on what we know about our schedule next year and the teams listed, IU will have every opportunity to prove itself a program worthy of respect or one in need of change. The games against SMU, Louisville, and our ACC/B1G challenge game specifically can have a make or break effect on us. If we can manage to take 2 of those 3, we set ourselves up nicely for the rest of the season. The B1G will be a gauntlet, but that's nothing new. Add in the rumored overseas trip against another major conference opponent and we've got our work cut out. It's like CTC thinks he has something to prove.
Agreed with Bryan.. IU will be battle tested come tournament time. I'd much rather know what the team is made of by March, then walk through a cupcake schedule and get booted in the 1st round.
That and if this team needs to take a punch it will be in non conf play. This years team seemed shell shocked when B1G play started and there was no return.

It's sad that much of an IU basketball forum focuses on hatred of Kentucky and little, if anything

to do with IU basketball success.

Willing to bet the number of threads started on IU basketball far outweigh the negative UK threads, and it isn't even close. It isn't like there is an unnaturally high amount of UK themed threads on this site

Also, what success? There was very little this year. We have to have something to cheer for, especially at this time of the year, right?

most IU fans feel that the UK way represents everything that is wrong with amateur athletics,

and when said program pulls out 3 Final Fours in four years, or 4 Elite Eights in 5 years...

you better damn well believe that it's gonna bring out the hate...

by the way, I'm a self proclaiming hater.
