    2-Star Recruit

Should we stop recruiting five star centers?

As a coach, you either recruit talent to a style you like to play. Or, you play to the best style, for the team you have recruited. Crean seems to coach more from the first example. With that being said, I think you have a great point, and I would answer with a yes. But, as a fan of the Hoosiers, I would like to answer no, and get the best talent we could get. It comes down to a coach, and I think most college coaches fit in the first group.

    Earth Shattering Changes at NCAA!!!!

I'd probably gain a pound a minute. But, I expect the athletes will burn a lot of it off. My son plays for an NAIA school, and was excited that he had gained 8 pounds during the basketball season. His strength coach told him, " I gain 8 pounds at breakfast." He is supposed to eat 6 meals a day, but still burns every thing off. I would like to have that ability!

    Earth Shattering Changes at NCAA!!!!

Exactly. When is too much, too much. It will be like a buffet. Food will be plentiful, Food will be wasted, and some one will end up paying for it. The NCAA isn't going to pay for it. If the school pays for it, it will be made up with tuition increases, or ticket prices, or parking, etc... If they are paying for it, someone else will be, too. I have no problem with kids getting more food, in fact, I think it is good. But, an unlimited supply might be excessive.

    2015 In-state Recruiting

I think in-state kids are good to have, because they help to recruit younger in-state hoopsters. Not necessarily by contact, but maybe a kid watched him play as a high schooler, and wanted to follow in his footsteps. It is good to have a connection all over the nation too. You would like to have a good mix of talented kids!

I hope we git him, git him!

    Earth Shattering Changes at NCAA!!!!

True. Abused may have been the wrong word, since it is a rule. How long before this rule is taken advantage of, to the extreme?

    Earth Shattering Changes at NCAA!!!!

How long before this rule gets abused? It is a great thing for the kids, but you know someone will take this to the extreme. Someone is going to be paying for it, as well!
  8. I may be bias, but who in their right mind would leave Indiana, for Tennessee? Even if the seat was getting a little warm.

Been hearing this has been going on with Vonleh

If this is true, it is sad that he is detouring others based on his experience. I am sure he expected to have a bigger impact, and probably a better season, team wise. We all have a tendacy to vent when things don't go as we planned. Hopefully, he will get over any problems he has with the university. Also, I would hope the kids being recruited, would use more then his disappointment, when making their choice.

    It really happened

I can't stand Calapari. But, I would wish for the same outcome if Kentucky was coached by the pope! I don't care who beats them, just so they go down!

A different look at late recriting mishaps.

I highly doubt they will be without a scholarship next season. Crean seems to like a change-up in his roster from year to year. There will be movement next season.

    24 second shot clock.

As many shot clock violations I saw this year, from our Hoosiers, and other teams. I am not sure that is a good idea.

    K***** S****** to Houston?

I actually was more excited about Sampson's hiring at IU, then I was Crean's. Obviously, In hindsight, Crean was the better hire for the university. I always liked Sampson's way of getting everything out of his players, and he seemed like a good " in game" coach. I had not been aware of his shadiness at Oklahoma, and thought he would get us back to winning. I am much fonder of the way Crean gets good kids, and tries to uphold the reputation of IU. I think Sampson will be a good coach for Houston, if he can run a clean program.

Indiana Rivals predicts us to finish 9th next season

I can understand the prediction. My only thought is that there is a lot of time before the season starts. I will wait until the end of summer to start panicing.

(2014) PF Anthony Lee to OSU

Iowa State scares me. Hoiberg is great at getting transfer kids, He has connections to the NBA, And they are a hot team right now. I think Crean will give it all that he has, and it's the thing I think he is best at. Guess we will have to wait until it all plays out. Would be a nice pick up, though!
