Lodolo just had a setup back with his blister... But Abbott, Lowder, and Burns make me very content with the Reds pitching lol Quote

I was at Horton's season debut last weekend, and he is going to be a stud. I don't blame them for taking it slow with him. they need Steele back soon. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted April 7 Posted April 7 And yesterday, he was joined on the DL by Matthew Boyd. Sigh ... Quote

LamarCheeks Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Not a Dodgers fan, but Cey-Russell-Lopes-Garvey was a helluva infield. Together for a looooong time. Spent a couple seasons with my Cubs at the tail end of his career. johnsoniu, Class of '66 Old Fart and jermhoosierfan 1 2 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Ol' Scrap Iron passed away. Guess he had been battling cancer for years. Though he knocked around for 16 years as a player, I remember him most with the Pirates in the late '70s. Had a great World Series against the Orioles. Then he managed for 15 or so years, and was slightly under .500, but did take the Astros to their first World Series. And of course -- there was that monstrous caterpillar under his nose! LamarCheeks Posted Thursday at 07:37 PM Posted Thursday at 07:37 PM Watching Cubs-Reds on my afternoon off and who shows up for an in-game interview ... the Big 0. An absolute legend in Indiana. Dude looks fantastic at 87. Great stories. What a treat! (Made it even more special that the Cubs scored 7 runs while he was in the booth!) pappy1865 and jermhoosierfan 2 Quote

And the pitching staff is still suffering, but, I'll take 9 in row! Quote
