Any news/forecast yet on NV's return?
I'm hoping like everyone else he will on Wednesday.

Coach said in the post-game it was literally day to day. So until game time Wednesday you probably won't know.

Showing we can win without Noah is major IMO. We've been tiptoeing around the question of what happens to our program since Fischer left us, with no new big man due in town next year and the possibility of the NBA calling Mr. V. at the end of the season. Hanner and Hollowell filled the size gap admirably, and OSU has a hard-hitting big man in Williams.

And I don't recall who said it, but after our last loss someone suggested that we cancel the rest of the season and wait till next year. I think 10 B1G wins gets us to the Big Dance, whether it's 9-9 and one tournament win or 8-10 and two tournament wins. Either way we will have another win against a ranked opponent (either Michigan in the regular season or a first-round bye team on Friday in the tournament).

We need to win against Nebraska, that's for sure. If we win at Michigan that would be huge, a road win versus a ranked team, and the conference champ. If we lose to UM, then we'll probably need 2 wins in the BTT to get on the bubble discussion.

I'm afraid that at 8-10 in the B1G regular season, we would have to win the B1G tournament to get in.  I think 10-8 would have been a lock, 9-9 puts us in the conversation but we need to win a couple in Indy and maybe get some help.  I'd be glad to be wrong about all of that, but I have a sick feeling we are going to fall just a tad short.

This is where I am.  I can't remember the last time we have been this entrenched on the bubble to not know either way.  People will either laugh at us, or bitch because we got in because of our name.

Watching the replay for the first time now. What really strikes me is that we are playing much better defense with a lot more toughness. Plus, the _uckeyes can't hit the broad side of a barn. And I thought we needed shooting help? Craft is horrible.

That's actually my cause for lowering my excitement about the way we played the last two games. Ohio State was putting it to us early, & then they couldn't hit a damn thing. These weren't overly contested shots either, most were great shots and looks.

If those go in, or even their normal percent, I'm not sure Indiana has the maturity to fight back. A lot of ifs ands or buts, but it is a cause to show some caution with our excitement.

On the opposite hand, how many games did we lose this year because the guys couldn't hit the broad side of a barn even on wide open shots?

I guess I should have explained a little better, there have been plenty of games that we did that as well. I'm just saying that a huge part of that Ohio State game/result is because they shot HORRIBLY & a lot of those misses weren't necessarily caused by our defense. I'm not taking anything away from the win, just saying that many Hoosiers are super excited now and I'm not entirely sure we should be that excited. We were fortunate they missed so many shots that game when they could have put it out of reach early at 20-12.

I think a lot of all those wide open jumpers was because of compensating for no Noah. If OSU can't hit them you stay inside, just like teams have done to us all year.

Great win on Sunday. With the icy roads, the wife and I rewatched the game. A couple of things really jumped out...spacing and responsibility. Sure, it certainly helped that OSU couldnt hit the ocean if they fell out of a boat, but they did seem to get in a hurry on both ends. Indiana just appears to have a different mindset in games recently. Pressure and attack instead of wait and wither.
