Indiana Pacers 2.0

Recommended Posts

I was listening to Chicago sports radio today (which is fantastic if you've never listened, btw) and they were making fun of the Heat "dodging" the Bulls by sitting guys and how it now might backfire. They also made good points about how the Nets are scarier to them than the Bulls are.

Al Jefferson is so damn good. Averaged like 26 and 13 for the last 6 weeks.

Yeah he is

Also update, he is back. But OT for Bulls/Bobcats. Maybe Butler can go for 60 minutes if needed, #Thibslogic

The Pacers' Facebook page is a hoot. Tons of homer fanboys shrieking "it's not over yet!" "you can't complain until our season is over!" "if you're upset, you aren't a true fan!!!" and the usual BS you typically see from soccer moms/sunshine pumpers who are in denial.

There is something really rotten going on behind the scenes with this team.  Whatever it is, obviously there isn't the maturity and leadership in place to overcome it.  May as well bench both Hibbert and GHill at this point.  Those dudes have been worthless.  Need more teamwork and less hero mode play all around.  I'd almost rather lose to Atlanta than Chicago and have to hear about it from my Bulls friends.  I know that is total LOSER talk but...I have zero faith in this team even advancing one round right now.

Ugh, I don't want to be all doom and gloom. But Tuesday night feels like it might be the Pacers' season. Hopefully they come out to play like everything they worked for is on the line, because it feels that way. Going down 0-2 to Atlanta just feels like it would be the worse possible thing for the team's mental psyche.

If the Pacers lose Tuesday night, they'll get swept. They don't have the mental fortitude to come back from that. Their body language reflects a team that's tired of playing basketball and wants its season to end.

Even if they win, I think Atlanta wins this series in 6.
