Indiana Pacers 2.0

Recommended Posts

I'm really starting to think the Pacers will lose in the first round, Vogel will be fired and big changes will be made in the offseason. This is maybe the most unexplainable collapse I've ever seen.

If they lose in the first round changes have to be made. And I'm dead serious in that Roy should be on the cutting block, can't be paying 14 million to a guy who at this point does more moping around on the court than actually playing the damn game

Seems like they went south ever since the Granger trade.

Not really. They were playing poorly before the Granger trade. There is almost no correlation between the two.

Not anymore, I'd be perfectly fine with Roy being gone, dude isn't anywhere close to the player he was last year. Worst rebounding 7'2" big man in the history of the league, and he struggles to make shots in the paint[/quote]

He's basically having the exact same season as last year. This year he's averaging 11 pts 7 rebs and 1 ast. Last year it was 12, 8, and 1. I'm not saying that's a good stat line by any means, but he never has been a world beater. Pretty much having his average season.

Specifically he has been downright awful starting from March on he is shooting 40% from the field, and averaging 4 rebounds per game. And his efficiency has been way down this year, 14.3 PER this year, compared to 17.1 last year, and 19.6 the year before that. I agree he hasn't ever been a world beater, but his recent stretch he has been horrid, and his crying to the media about everyone else is annoying

Vogle finally had the onions to bench someone. It's about 2 months too late. Now Roy is sulking like a big baby. This team is done.

I had tickets for tonight's game. I am glad I decided not to go.

I know I'm ragging on the guy, but his attitude on the bench throughout the second half is the type of stuff that really pisses me off.

There are going to be tons of articles written about him between now and Wednesday, wouldn't be opposed to Mahimi getting the start over him

Earlier this season, Stephenson poured water on Hibbert during a post game interview and the two of them got a good laugh out of it. In another game, the bench was going nuts as Lance racked up another triple double. The entire starting five interviewed on ESPN and talked about how close they were.

It was probably what I took the most pride in with this team. In today's NBA, or any pro sport for that matter, the type of togetherness these guys displayed for 3 and a half months is admirable and an invaluable luxury.

Maybe it was too much of a good thing.

Vogel kind of hinted at the idea of the entire starting lineup sitting out the Milwaukee game, or them all getting significantly less minutes. Said all of them look worn down

Vogel came out and confirmed he is going to be resting starters in the 4 games. Though don't expect all 5 to miss the same game, probably will mix and match. Could see all 5 maybe getting 2 games off a piece.

Edit: I really hope we see Solo these final four games, I've wanted him to play for a while now. Has a ways to go offensively, but was good rebounding and defensively when he played
