NCAA Tournament?
I most certainly did not! Thought it looked like a lot like the difference between a mid-major and power conference. So, I picked B. The fact that everyone else picked A, was purely coincidental. Are there prizes?
Had you known it wasn't a mid major would you have made the same choice?

Ooooh good one!  I guess I would.  A lot have said that the difference between SOS wasn't big enough to make them choose B.  However, when you look at the RPI, there are probably 40 teams between 65 and 51 (or whatever it was) so yeah, probably would.

Personally I think when deciding between teams in power conferences, SOS means little compared to conference record.  I think any B1G team with a conference winning percentage at or above .600 gets in. Probably even .500

Team B: 16-9 (8-4), 49 BPI, 45 RPI, 2-5 vs. RPI top 50, 11-3 vs. RPI 100+, SOS: 22 (KenPom: 50)
Haha. You need to stop doing this with such a familiar team.

Joey brackets was just on ESPN and was asked who he thought took the biggest hit last night and sure enough he picked Indiana and mentioned this loss and the poor non conf schedule.

Because of the poor non-conf and no road wins up to this point, just. 500 in the Big Ten won't cut it. Hoosiers have to seize opportunities.

To be completely honest, we could and should be able to win the next 4 (wildcard being Iowa). If that happens, we won't be in such a bad position. Need to get hot at the right time now.

A strong finish gets us in but the way things are now we won't get in. ken$$ucky was a first round NIT boot last year. It happens... Bob Knight had his share of 1st round embarrassing losses. Probably because we shouldn't have been in anyhow but got it off history.

We've looked good in almost every first half on the road and just poop down our legs in the second half. It's possibly but like you I don't know if I see it either.

for as many reasons as I can find to believe in our ability to get ourselves safely in the tournament, I seem to come up with a few more reasons why I shouldn't get my hopes up

at this point we have a pretty large sample of what to expect from this particular team and as we all know that's a mixed bag. Hopefully the basketball gods are smiling upon us down the stretch because I really truly believe we have the talent to take care of the following:

vs PSU: W

@ PU: W
vs Iowa: W

@ NW: W

@ Wiscy: L

vs OSU: W

vs Neb: W

@ Mich: L

6-2 down the stretch in regular season play with a win in the B1G tournament and we're in (comfortably) but the turnovers are going to have to be magically eliminated from our game to make that kind of run

if we do make that kind of run and go 6-2 or 5-3 down the stretch, this tournament will be more fun to follow than any tournament since I became an IU fan in 2004

To your last paragraph: I totally agree. I could see us making a run if we get in. This team can play with just about anyone in the nation, they just have to learn to finish.

Yeah, I don't see us winning two of those you have has wins.  Maybe even 3.

I really don't see us winning against Iowa or @NW.  We couldn't even beat NW in AH.  I'm not confident about us beating OSU either.

I'm honestly more confident winning at Michigan than I am at NW

Hell, with this team 2-6 wouldn't surprise me.

I'd say 4-4 or even 3-5.
