Indiana's Remaining Schedule

Recommended Posts

Troy has been seeing the floor less also.  His minutes haven't dropped like Hollowell's and Davis' have, but Troy's playing time has also dropped quite a bit.

The point remains, if Crean's holding them this responsible for performance then he needs to do the same to Troy.  He's been just as bad as Jeremy, if not worse, if Jeremy can't get time then Troy shouldn't.

No inside info here, but nobody's minutes have ever dropped like Hollowell's in Crean's time here.  Based solely on that fact alone, I say the issue is disciplinary.  And based solely on what we have all seen of Devin Davis, I think D2's situation is disciplinary too.

This statement is soley based on game time performance.... Crean sees these guys everyday in practice too... if Troy is giving everything he has and is just making mistakes (call them Freshman Mistakes) but Jeremy is just going through the motions or seems to have his head other places (as Crean states his focus isn't there).... I have heard (and it is just hearsay) that Troy is in the gym all the time and Jeremy usually doesn't go there unless it is scheduled practice.... I agree that Troy's in game performances haven't been great but if he is still engaged and giving it everything that would be a good reason to me to still play more than Jeremy albeit with less minutes than earlier in the season.

Right now Troy is an "athlete", not a "basketball player".  We need basketball players on the court.

I would agree with that JS... I am a fan of Troy and not of Jeremy and I am not even sure why because their play is about equal... I guess it is like I said I don't perceive any care from Jeremy.... I see Troy getting upset with mistakes. I know that has been hashed out on here before about just because he doesn't show outward emotion doesn't mean Jeremy doesn't care and I could agree with that, just stating that it is my opinion that he doesn't seem to care.

All the talk on here is always about when it clicks for Jeremy... but I want to see it click for Troy and I think that has a better chance of happening sooner...

Troy has a lot of work to do but I am still rooting for him and him getting a few minutes a game isn't a bad thing IMO.

The difference though is that with Jeremy it is about it clicking.  With Troy it's not about clicking, it's about developing and becoming a basketball player and that is going to take time and we won't see it this year.

I'm okay with Troy getting a few minutes, let him try to use his athleticism as a spark, but he should not still be starting.

If last night's team shows up, there is no reason we won't rattle off 6 in a row. It's a little lofty, but who knows.

I think we lose 7 more. One of at NW or at PU. I also am not sure about UM but since it is here we probably should win.

7 more losses would not be good unless we play them all well to make it a good competitive game like last night.

The sophs and juniors, other than yogi, are not playing up to what I would expect of a blue chip program. We lost a lot but the kids that should have replaced them, highly ranked kids too, have underperformed.

I do not expect us to be an NIT team except in unusual situations and then only once a decade.

We were able to recruit very highly ranked kids for the 12 class and as much as we like to praise CTC for finding Oladipo, we missed on the kids the soph junior group. The 12 class showed we could pull in top recruits to play alongside Cody and the ones we chose are perhaps good role players but we needed to have done better.

The 2012 class was a top five nationally ranked class that with our ability to develop players should be giving us a lot more. Combine this with another top 5 class this year and the cupboard is bare argument does not fit.

Not expecting a FF contender this year but we should be in the tourney with a fighters chance to win 1 or 2 games.

Hoping we do better than losing 7 of these games.

I think we can beat AT LEAST ONE of OSU and Iowa at home. If we can defend AH otherwise and get 2 or 3 of Minny Purdue Nebraska and NW on the road we should be ok. And a big ten tourney win or two would also help. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

We aren't consistent enough to win two consecutive conference games right now, let alone three in a row.  I'm sure we will be competitive in many of these remaining games but can we learn to close the games out?  I do think we will beat Illinois next.  At Nebraska is going to be a tough one.  Those guys are really tough customers at home, beating Ohio State and should have beaten Michigan if they didn't miss a tip in at the end.
