If You Are Coach, Who Is In Your Starting Line-up Saturday?

The Syracuse game was not a bright spot in this young season, and I know we all are worried about the post-game comments.  If you are the coach, and you want to send a message, who is your starting line-up?

 

(There will be no player bashing.  This is to be fun, but yet voice our concerns)

 

My line-up:

 

- Yogi

- Gordon

- Williams

- Davis

- Vonleh

 

I think Sheehey needs to start coming off the bench.  Let some of the other guys get a chance.  I'm not saying leave Sheehey on the bench all season long, but let's just see how the bench thing works.  Hollowell, I'm a huge fan of his, but I also stated I felt even though he may start this year, he was still a year away from being a stud starter.  He is going to be very good once he can figure out his game.  He can be one of our best players, but just doesn't have it all figured out yet, and it shows.  Gordon has been a bulldog type of player for us that we need.  He is probably our best defender (him and Yogi are the best), and he brings in a steady personality this team needs.  Davis is a wild card for me, and it depends on his work ethic in practice.  He gives his all on every play, and is a great team player.  He makes some mistakes, but a lot of people marked him off this year.

 

UConn and Syracuse games were good indicators about this team.  Young, inexperienced, and lack a good leader.  This team will be fine, and I am fine with the losses (heck, I predict this team to be a 7 seed in the tourny).  The team will grow, but like anything that grows, their are pains along the way. 

 

So, who do you guys have?

I'm sure you wouldn't have said this after he got us into the sweet 16 with that baseline jump shot against VCU. One bad game don't mean anything, everybody is over reacting saying he is a better a 6th man, well it is what he has done these past two years because he wasn't good enough to start on those teams. However, now he is good enough to start. CTC is the reason he played bad last game anyway, he put him on the wing and corner when he should be right on the foul line so he can hit his mid-range jumper. Stay calm people, he is also the only reason we beat LIU.
