IU vs Michigan Game Thread

The defense has some very good pieces for the future, but dang they need to learn how to tackle. They get going to fast and don't slow down right before they get to the ball carrier. Ball carrier makes a quick juke and is free.

I can't watch the game, but it appears that Roberson is doing well. Defense is horrendous. Coaching change may be needed there, but they have a long way to go.

I think if there continues to be little to no improvement on the defensive side of the ball that a serious discussion has to be had about making a change at DC.  No point in talking about it now though.  Hopefully they get it figured out and turned around.

I love our offense, but it seems as the year has wore on our defense gets tired quicker with being on the field so much.  Then, as the games wear on the other team's defense seems fresh, because they haven't been on the field.  On the flip side, you have to score when you are able.  Double edged sword, but unless we have 25 capable defenders, this won't work consistently in B1G.

In all honesty is it the DC fault his defense is on the field 70% of the game even if they are playing well offensively?  I would like to see us stack the box a lot more to help the interior guys, but that is really my only beef.

No, and that's a fair point.  However, we can't tackle when we are on the field and our coverage leaves a lot to be desired.  I'm not advocating a change, just saying I think a discussion is in order if the current trajectory doesn't change.

Yeah, but the defense can't tackle and gives the receivers 10 yard cushions.

Yeah, I think that was Ekeler's ***** when he left, that there was just no way to run a good defense with that offense.
