I hope you're right about being fine Jaybob, but I'm not convinced. I do think Piscotty and Grichuk are going to have great years, but 1b, LF, SS, and some of our pitching staff are big ?.

We do have a lot of question marks with health, but always remember the Cardinals always seem to find a way.  I don't see them keeping both Moss and Adams all season.  I could be wrong, but just don't see it.  I think our pitching will be fine, because one of the young lefties can step in and be a good band-aid.  I really hope Diaz can step in and reach his high potential.  I just can't wait to go to some games, been waiting a long time!!!

Well, Cardinals get back to even with a sweep over the Braves. Hope this will be some good momentum.

I would think that sweeping the Braves is not a real reason for excitement.

Figure this news should go here. Albert Pujols is being released by the Angels. It'd be cool for the Cards to sign him so he can officially retire as a Cardinal. I don't know if MLB has a one-day contract like the NFL does.

I hope they do. He did so much for the organization and in the community. The town would erupt if this were to happen and if he got to play in a game.

He certainly could sign with the Cards and retire -- if that's what he wanted. I wonder, though, if someone wanted to pick him up -- just to see if he has something left in the gas tank. Sometimes, a change of scenery does a player good. Not saying he'll hit .300 and 30 HRs, but I could see a team like the White Sox -- who've been killed by injuries -- taking a flyer.

But yes, he could retire as a Cardinal. When Roy Halladay was planning to retire, he asked the Phillies to release him so he could re-sign with Toronto and retire as a Blue Jay. There are others who've done this as well.

Dude chased the money out of St. Louis like a decade ago.  They have bigger issues than signing him allowing him to relive his glory days.

He could be the right-handed Matt Carpenter off the bench. Let him start once a week. Something like that if he would be willing to do that.
