6’6” wing who plays for Boca Ciego HS in Gulfport, FL and travel ball for ifFamily on the Puma circuit. Unranked everywhere and not mentioned on 247. Explains why none of the IU writers have put anything out yet because they have nothing on him. Current offers on his feed are Jacksonville St, Georgia Southern, Queens, North Florida, that sort of thing.
An official OG Anunoby “get him before he’s a thing” offer.

If @Class of '66 Old Fart wasn't on hiatus partying in Vegas with Sorsby and Pavia, this recruiting report would be far better organized.

I like this recent Instagram video a lot.

  • College ready physically. Long arms and a heavy, solid base.
  • Quick release.
  • Not super explosive but strong, and most importantly?
  • For a high school 6'6" player, really, really sharp, focused handle with body lean with the ball in his hands.

Haven’t gotten into him at all but the 1 video I saw he almost looked more like a Cig recruit because he’s built like a high school edge rusher.

I tell you what. Just found this extended video that is over a year old, so he's only gotten better. Good lord he is explosive. And long. And his legs are like tree trunks.

As @Demo said - football edge rusher build. I don't say this lightly: He's an OG Anunoby physical clone.

Whoever turned our staff on to this off-the-radar kid needs a big thank you. I'm all in on him as an add; especially since we may have been the first P4 program to dive in hard. Get him on campus.

Wow, the offensive rebound and finish at 2:18 is a smoking example of “I want it more than you do.” There are a few of those here.

Man that dude attacks the rim with bad intentions. Not sure of the level of competition but he looks really good in that video. Will be interesting to watch and see how he does on the AAU circuit this summer. Really like the way he plays defense too. Would be torn between he and MJ Curry for the SF/ athlete role in this 2027 class. One of those two to go along with Chase Branham, J'Lon Lyons and one of Paul Osaruyi/ Ahmed Nur/ Jeremy Jenkins would be a great 4 man class.

Maybe he’s seen more of the kid than the 2 games I watched yesterday, or maybe he has an in with the staff and that’s the feedback he got, in which case cool, but I don’t see a small ball 4 at all. He looks to me like a pretty stereotypical power wing. The 1st name that came to mind was Corey Maggette back in the day. He is crazy explosive and he’s so strong and physical that at his level he was straight line driving and just playing through these kids. He hit 3 3’s in the 2 games and the stroke is pretty nice though it needs to be sped up a fair bit. But what was actually really encouraging, and I imagine this popped for whomever was scouting him, is that he sees the floor and processes at a HM level. He made some high level reads on both ends. That was the thing. He’s not as good laterally as he is downhill but he’d probably be pretty easily switchable 2-4. And he rebounds aggressively and out of area. There’s a lot to like and he’s a fun watch. A lot of skill development needed but I get the appeal.

There’s no SI article that has any real reporting IMO. It’s not the prior era SI—it’s now primarily AI slop from mama’s basement.

It’s probably not out of the question that he watched that same extended video that you were able to find and made some pretty broad conclusions off of those 5 mins.
Completely unrelated but I’ve never seen it before: during the intros in 1 of the games they were announcing the kid’s ranking by some state service.  “Starting at forward a 6’4” senior and ranked the number 51 player in the state Florida, ………”
