Renewal applications dropped into accounts on Tuesday with priority renewal deadline of June 30th.  Prices are up and for the first time there is a per seat fee also added in - similar to footballl the last couple years but not as significant.  In my case the per game price per seat increased by 20% and that includes the additional fee. It increased by 12% last year vs the previous year.

Parking (also includes a new nominal fee is up 5% vs last year which increased by 20% vs the previous year.

By comparison my per game per seat football cost for next year (including seatbacks) is up 29% vs last year after increasing by 59% last year vs the previous year.  Football parking is up 26% vs last year and was up 25% last year vs the previouus year.

Football pricing reflects the cost of success and hopefully we will soon be able to say the same thing about basketball.

Go Hoosiers!!!!!!

I get that but I've been hooked for SO LONG now that I can't give it up now.

Don’t get me wrong, I want them. However, as a single income family of 4, there is a lot to consider!

How did your discussion with family about renewing go/ Hopefully you were able to find a way to be in for another year.

Waiting to see how much my bonus at work ends up being. Wife said do what makes me happy, so no issues there, lol.

Well I decided to not renew my tickets this year due to cost increases, too many weekday games, and no marquee non-conference matchups in the Hall. Don’t get me wrong, I really wanted to renew and I’m kinda upset about it, but maybe I will try again in the future. This morning, I got an email stating they are extending my deadline till July 8th. Are they losing season ticket holders? Just curious

Definitely. I’ve lost count of how many calls, texts, and emails I’ve received begging me to buy season tickets. Honestly kinda nice to see the fans making some noise with their wallets.

I debated hard this year but eventually renewed. Mostly just because I've had them for several years. Sunk cost fallacy I suppose.

Last season, I would have been better off just buying tickets to the individual games on game day or a few days prior. Would have spent less, and sat down lower too.

Yep I'm glad to see them sweat a bit. Pretty clear the athletic department has taken MBB season ticket holders for granted. Raising prices on a consistently mediocre product, while moving all decent non-con games off campus so they can charge extra for those.

If demand drops, maybe we'll see a change in philosophy for future seasons.

Same, on both counts.
