Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Sunday at 11:26 PM Posted Sunday at 11:26 PM Just 2 regular season games left. A trip to the armpit of the nation, cesspool of the world on Wednesday and then the season ending game hosting Penn State in Bloomington. The Scarlet Pimpernels (9-18) (1-15) provide a huge opportunity to extend our winning streak to 2 games. They average a paltry 58 ppg with a -10 margin shooting 36% FG and 29% on 3s. They average 36 rpg with a -2 margin. They careless with the ball averaging 17 TOs/game. 4 players average double figures led by Nene Ndiaye at 15.0 ppg. Their highest volume 3-point shooter is Kayah Ivey who's attempted 172 but only makes 26% of them. Next highest on volume is Ndiaye at 40% on 74 attempts. 3 players average 5-6 rpg. Ivey has recorded 99 assists against 61 turnovers. It's a road game in a horrible place but our women bounced back very nicely today after the UCLA drubbing and certainly didn't throw in the towel. LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:09 AM Posted yesterday at 12:09 AM Wow. What an awful start. Five minutes in ... Turnovers: 5 Points: 3 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:14 AM Posted yesterday at 12:14 AM We finally have more points (8) than turnovers (7). Yipee! Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM Posted yesterday at 12:22 AM Ugly first quarter. Have five 3s and a mid-range jumper from Shay. Absolutely nothing inside. Eight turnovers. Quote
mamasa Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Kinda glad I cancelled my BTN+, kinda sad. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:31 AM Posted yesterday at 12:31 AM Tied at 26 with about 5 minutes left in the first half. We were down 10 at one point, so there's that, but still ... this is some really, really ugly basketball. J34 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Shot clock violation. At this point in the season -- absolutely inexcusable. LadyHoosiersFan and NatHillIV 2 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Down by 4 after 20 minutes. To a team with 1 win in the league. Sigh ... Class of '66 Old Fart and NatHillIV 2 Quote
TTT Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM Posted yesterday at 12:49 AM After Oregon game that she played well….Edessa Noyan said she thought she has it figured out. It was difficult and took time. In first half vs Rutgers on the road tonight Edessa Noyan with 0 points and 2 turnovers. No not figured it out and need to go back to the drawing board for second half.…..7 rebounds though. Quote
Stuhoo Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Two competing thoughts: A team that shoots 7-13 from three yet is down by four and only scores 30 in the half is insane. A team that turns it over 14 times in a half and is only down four is insane. NatHillIV 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Posted yesterday at 12:59 AM Our inside game is nonexistent. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Caffey with a nice blow-by and layup. Need more of that. Relying too much on the 3. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Posted yesterday at 01:06 AM Another nice drive and deuce by Caffey. Keep that up. mamasa 1 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Posted yesterday at 01:19 AM Rutgers player mauls Shay and gets a foul. She jumps up and down, stomps her feet and flails her arms. C'mon -- you gotta T her up for that. J34 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Posted yesterday at 01:20 AM Losing to this terrible team would be on brand for this bunch. Still not convinced better days are ahead. Quote
