Called the back shoulder throw to Sarratt. Mendoza just didn’t throw a good ball.  Running on 3rd down from that distance is just plain questionable.

I realize we win this game handing off the ball, I just want to see Mendoza get chances to get in a better rhythm.

He'll get all kinds of chances this season.

I mean. That’s a flag. But still another goal to go not converted. Need to be better.

Sarratt had his guy boxed out and draped on his back. No need to throw a missile to your guy.  Just give him a catchable ball. Slower throw will make the penalty harder to ignore.

I hate to say it, but if IU has any hopes of making the CFP this season you have to score more on these guys, we need two more touchdowns or this game is too close and could hurt come selection time!

Next week's opponent Kennesaw State was beaten 10-9 by Wake Forest on Thursday.  From the game recap --

Despite 307 yards of offense, including 158 yards on the ground, penalties and miscues proved too much to overcome as Kennesaw State football dropped a 10-9 decision to Wake Forest on Friday night at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.   In his first start at quarterback for the Owls, Dexter Williams II threw for 149 yards – the most by a KSU quarterback in his first start in program history – and added 44 yards of rushing to amass an impressive 193 yards of offense on the night.
