I'm so confused. He committed, hedged, now is back in? Was there confusion, cold feet, some kind of negotiating tactic?

Agent probably gave him bad advice after getting a higher offer somewhere else after committing; but he had already signed his papers, so backing out wasn't as easy as just changing his mind.  Him and Cig probably smoothed things over (see E.J. Williams), so he technically never backed out, because he couldn't.

Fwiw, IU’s recruiting director called the whole decommit drama BS on Twitter this evening. Could be damage control, could be the truth.

We need to stack good seasons and I think we are going about it the best way. A few good seasons and we will start getting more four and five star talent. One great year won't move the needle to where we want it.

Winning the natty will move any needle. IUFB is one of 12 schools in the country to have that chance. I understand what you're saying but about the 4 and 5 star talent but Coach Cig and his staff want a certain type on the roster. I know this year has been something us IUFB faithful are not used to but Coach Cig is. He expects this type of season to be somewhat the norm. And I'm here for it baby!!
