Transferring to Montverde Academy

That’s as good an endorsement of the kid as you could ask for. Even the highest profile factories still recruit to varying degrees. Montverde straight selects.

Eric Bossi on last weekend's 3SSB event.  Plays for Wildcats Select 16U team.

Gabe Weis, SF, Wildcats Select- A Top-75 ranked prospect who already has offers from Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, LSU, Nebraska, Penn State, Texas A&M and others, Weiss looked a little timid and unsure at times. But when he had the ball in his hands he showed that he can be a fluid mover and playmaker/passer for himself and others. The jumper wasn't going down but looks good and we'd bet he has some big outings before the summer is over.

Rob Cassidy -

College coaches aren’t permitted to establish phone contact with 2026 wing Gabe Weis until June 15, but Indiana seems to already have made an impression by hosting the Kentucky native for multiple unofficial visits.

“I’ve already been there twice,” Weis said of IU on Monday. “I love that coaching staff. They’re really good people that are passionate about recruiting. Even on Mother’s Day, they were wishing my mom happy Mother’s Day and all that. I reach out to them a lot and they always respond. It’s cool.”

Weis grew up a Kentucky fan but says he won’t let his childhood allegiance determine the trajectory of his recruitment. That said, the 6-foot-7 forward is keeping one eye on the hometown school.

“I’m hoping to hear from coach (Mark) Pope here soon, and I hope that I’ll gain some more offers once June 15 comes around,” he said.

I appreciate your still finding and sharing all this info on HS recruits even though it's probably meaningless.

Thank you.  If you've noticed I'm not following and routinely posting game stats for all of our offers because it is meaningless under the present situation.  But when I can simply copy and paste a box score without having to spend much time looking for it, I'll continue to do so.
