Stuhoo Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Don’t have ESPN+, but a second half 38-22 is good. We also clearly controlled their superstar in the second half. She still scored some, but missed a ton of second half shots. WayneFleekHoosier and Banksyrules 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Glad they won this. Emotional rollercoaster and a sold out crowd, Take the W and move on to the next one. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners J34 1 Quote
GoHoosiers1996 Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 I wish we would have utilized our bench more tonight, especially when our starters were not showing the effort and results we are accustomed to. CSP 1 Quote
TTT Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Did IU Ladies design a game plan to play a certain way and were going to win that particular way regardless as long as they won and then use it for prep and teaching for big ten. The same could happen vs Stetson. B.K. especially in his prime unless he was trying to make a statement win a few games IU would play a certain way even if they looked awful doing it. It seems like IU Ladies were not really trying to win as in blowout in this one but more of a celebration tour game. If not, hard to tell where this season goes. Quote

In my opinion, the first half plan/results seemed very similar to the Stanford game. It was difficult to get the ball to Mackenzie and we were not hitting threes. i do like the RMK reference! Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 1, 2023 Author Posted December 1, 2023 In the aftermath of last night's struggles, here's a nice story on the bond between Mack and her brother Cam. https://www.insidethehall.com/2023/12/01/a-well-kept-secret-and-a-sassy-text-mackenzie-holmes-brother-was-going-to-surprise-her-in-maine-no-matter-what/?fbclid=IwAR1V2b8xWQc4qQdroBcx2EGHWckkBFCkrWnehuBLbX7gxp5zIM7BugEyNKY pappy1865, Todd41, mamasa and 1 other 2 2 Quote
TTT Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 After watching post game press conference I noticed some coughing and wondering if some of the IU Ladies were a little bit under the weather. Quote
RPO Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Another good feature on Mackenzie’s return to Maine: https://www.thenexthoops.com/ncaaw/big-ten/mackenzie-holmes-maine/ J34 and Todd41 2 Quote
GloryDays Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Love Bargesser's quickness, defense and she has the ability to play lead guard but her shooting stroke is a disaster. Her free throw shooting is painful to watch with the twist of her torso. Hopefully someone can work with her because everything else is great and we need her to play. J34 and Stuhoo 2 Quote
