No score at the half.  For about the first 40 minutes we were clearly the aggressive team and at that point, Michigan had not yet attempted a shot or taken a corner.  But over the last 5 minutes they became the aggressor and ripped off 5 shots; 4 of them on goal and took 3 corners.

For the half we had 6 shots; 2 on goal and 4 corners.  Michigan 3, 3 & 3.

Quin Rogers of Michigan received a yellow card.

Usually Kentucky next would be a huge RPI opportunity but they have struggled worse than IU. At this point we are looking at an NCAA Tourney without IU, UK, or Maryland who are normally seeded teams unless any of them win the conference tournament.

Our offense is pretty offensive and match ends in a scoreless tie.  We took a total of 19 shots; 7 on goal; 10 corners.  Michigan 5, 4 & 6.

Team has a week off before heading to Lexington, KY next Tuesday to face the Kentucky Wildcats.

Worst IU soccer team in 30+ years? Or this century? Can't remember a team that was this bad at scoring.

2013 was worse but not because of scoring. That team finished 5-11 in regular season and only reason they made NCAA's was winning Big Ten Tournament or NCAA streak (since 1986) would have ended then. This team will also need to win conference tourney to make postseason in 2023 and that is harder now with the games at the higher seed instead of a neutral site like it was back then.

2013 team had opposite problem and couldn't stop anyone because they had a struggling defense. Their scoring was fine and future MLS'er Tommy Thompson led a dynamic attack. 2023 it is a good defense but the complete lack of a go to scorer up top (which is not on the roster right now) has occured because a player or two didn't pan out as expected which is a rarity in Yeagley era.

I fully expect a dynamic scorer for 2024 via portal or top freshman. Anytime there has been a glaring problem (see the 2014 team completely remaking and fixing the defense and being back to normal or the 2017 team having dynamic scorers after struggling with that in 2016) Yeagley addresses it big time in the offseason. He just can't wave a magic wand and bring in missing pieces midseason.

This team is frustrating and frustrating each other.  There was a play were Mihalic had a perfect chance to feed Sarver for a gimme.  Actually, it wasn't mihalic, it was someone else, but anyway, Sarver was clearly frustrated.  That play sums up the year for the team.

That and the 2 great shots that were blocked by defenders faces also sums up our luck.
