Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Rutgers (9-13) (3-7) pays a visit to Bloomington and hopefully, it is a very unpleasant visit for them. After the huge win Thursday night, wouldn't be unusual to see a letdown against a struggling Rutgers but our women seem pretty focused and determined. J34 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 This Moren group reminds me of some of Geno's great teams! Not saying we have as many 5☆'s, but he gets 5-7 of his best players to play both ends of the floor as hard as they can. Then reward their hard work at the defensive end, with a high octane, high IQ offense. All 5 positions always have to be accounted for. The culture CTM has created is not only attractive to recruits, it's an approach that can be long standing. We've witnessed Teri Moren become a great coach right before our eyes. She will hang a championship banner(National) one day. Take care of business early tomorrow, and get some important minutes for some of second unit! I believe we have some pretty good pieces that could experience some extended minutes in "mop up" time. Agree 100% about injuries, but I don’t want to see a struggle or a close game against a team like Rutgers….to that extent I think margin of win is important and again at Minnesota…and I expect the game will not be that close nor a struggle. Not just Saturday or Sunday but during days in between through the week it would be great to see major networks CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX show major games of the national ranked teams in College Ladies basketball games. I will add Holmes is playing in a great situation as coaching staff and teammates around her allow her the opportunities for her great performances.
