Are we close to getting Berger back? She's been out for a month now. I've always been deathly afraid of knee injuries where there's no clear diagnosis or timetable for recovery. It usually doesn't end well.

Not much is changed on status.  From Coach,

"Her status is still indefinite, but she is moving along very nicely" Moren said.

"Certainly it'll be up to Grace and how she feels, but everyday she's doing a little bit more which is really really good."

The. Daily Hoosier has an article as well.  In the comment section, they mention that someone with a connection to the program said it was an 8-week expected recovery.

Well we are at 5 weeks today so if that is true her first game back should be either Illinois or Michigan in January. Illinois would be one day short of 8 weeks. Michigan would be 5.5 weeks.

Will Berger fix this team's turnover problem? Hard to see this team contending for the league title if they can't stop giving it up so much.

Why wouldn't she?

We've got enough to be legitimately be in the discussion for a title, especially if we get hot in the tournament and go off from three against say, South Carolina. Yesterday we were 3-12 from three, with Scalia 0-3 from three and we had a team turnover total that is about 50% higher than our team average.

Really, really good teams, even national championship caliber teams, lose occasionally, including sometimes when they're not supposed to. Nothing has changed.

100%. Played poorly. Watch the film, be critical, learn, and grow.

We had a lot of girls struggle yesterday. She had by far her worst game.

I generally love the Moren teams, since we have so many weapons, and they usually pick up the slack if one player is having an off night. Unfortunately, more of our weapons were having the off night at the same time yesterday. Doesn't happen often

Though IU ladies should have been able to beat MSU…not a surprise at loss.  3 of the last 4 games I could see this coming.  IU Ladies we’re fortunate to beat Illinois at home.  Plus MSU like the upper half of big ten is good and very capable.  MSU after being down 17 took Ohio State to over time at Ohio State.  Physically, IU Ladies currently do not have the ability to overcome loss of one of their top two players like the elite programs…. IU Ladies were once very deep but that changes quickly with an injury to a key player.  G.B. even coming back is going to take even more time to get back to what % she was??? (though it will help a lot).  Last year Patberg, Gulbe, (Hillary would fight on defense and stop a scorer, make a steal and then make a 3 pointer or a layup and one)  they would all make big plays and had a physical presence.  G.B. is an all around all of that.
Scalia has not made adjustment (yet) to being a defensive stopper and at Minny she was the main offensive threat (the one) it seems to be in her head hesitant, second guessing what to do, unconfident overthinking which is a little is what much of the team is doing at times rather than go playing really really hard (competitive). It affects the 3 point shooting.
One pattern with T. Moren teams 3 point shooting is talked confidently up and demonstrated and then is just awful at times and in this game defense was awful as well.  Currently, physicality, confidence and swagger is an issue which will result in at least 5 or 6 losses in big unless corrected.   Expecting a big win vs Nebraska.
Bargesser is a competitor as she develops expecting her to play more.  Parrish is as well and needs to take a next step upward without fouling out.  Who took a charge for IU Ladies defense?  Chloe the steady somewhat quieter performer tends to go quiet at times.  Like her game off the ball.  And is Geary good enough?  When does Brown come back?  IU Ladies could have used her 4 or 5 minutes vs MSU.

I was just getting ready to ask how long she was out for.
