Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 21, 2022 Author Posted July 21, 2022 Trent Markwith reported we watched the 17U Indy Heat vs New Heights Lightning game last night. The 17U Indy Heat has possible players of IU interest in Sam Orme and Reece Potter. Purely for information that team also includes Kaleb Glenn, Jeremy Fears and Dravyn Gibbs-Lawhorn. Quote

Reece Potter is kinda interesting. 7'0" and mobile, but no strength and no offense to speak of. Might have a higher ceiling than originally thought. Apparently things have started to click for him recently and he's starting to get high-major interest. lillurk 1 Quote

Elmarko Jackson averaging 12p on 14-39 FG, 5r, 5a. Jakai Newton has been quiet for a number of games but exploded for 24p on 9-11FG that included 5-7 on 3s. Derik Queen had a double double in his first 2 games and a near double double in game 3. Averaging 16p on 20-38 FG and 11r for the 3 games. 16U stats aren't being posted so don't know how Bryson Tiller is doing. HoosierHoops1, BtownStrength and 323SGrant 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 Xavier Booker playing in Milwaukee in the NY2LA Final Chapter event and this from his Wednesday night game. Box score data for this event is not being published or I have yet to find the site where it is being published. 2023 6’11 Xavier Booker – George Hill All-Indy The matchup of the night was between Xavier Booker and Isaiah Miranda – two of the top bigs in the country in the class of 2023 – and Booker’s George Hill team came out on top on Wednesday. Booker is so skilled at 6’11 and I continue to walk away impressed with his perimeter skill and soft touch. He has a quick release on his jumper with good mechanics and is really dangerous as a floor spacer in pick and pop, and as a trail big where he can shoot the three or attack closeouts and get to the rim. Booker covers so much ground running the floor with his long strides and can recover in a hurry defensively to block and alter shots at the rim. Demo 1 Quote
Demo Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Walsh watching Power again right now, who is having an excellent game. Quote
