With McCulley in tow, I always felt like we had a better chance with a portal QB with fewer years of eligibility. He got thrust into the first team too soon, but he still had a high ceiling. I actually feel better about Slovis jumping on board for two seasons in the B1G spotlight while McCulley matures.
