For comparison, Mendoza had 4 total rushing TDs in 2 years at Cal. Hoover doesn't have the rushing juice like Mendoza though so who knows. But he did have 4 rushing TDs his sophomore year and 2 last year at TCU. Hopefully, he cleans up the picks and if that happens it might be an indirect transition into more rushing attempts. I’m guessing it might be more traditional QB sneaks but it’s possible Lebowski 1 Quote

This is probably my biggest concern. Will he make the right decisions in the big moments. Fernando shined in the biggest moments. His ability to shake off an interception or bad drive was one of the biggest reason for success. Our defense will no doubt keep us in every game. IUFB will definitely go as far as Hoover can take us. Hopefully we are still undefeated heading to Michigan. Just decided we are heading to Ann Arbor for that one... Lebowski 1 Quote

From what I've seen of Hoover, he isn't Mendoza (not many are) but he's pretty good and a scheme fitter w/gobs of experience. Becker--- idk how anyone could comfortably play him all game without a safety over the top... then you have to deal with Marsh, as well. Devoting that many resources to stopping those two--- then you have to deal with our RPO/run game in general... that's a pick your poison. Bond, Morris, Chandler, and Preston is (on paper in May) EXCELLENT depth. Barker seemingly can hold his own at TE, and I'm sure they expect Schott to play plenty. The OL should be magnificent and surely the best OL, by far, Hoover has had. Stuhoo, Pagoda and TucsonHoosier 3 Quote

Hopefully Hoover can take the reigns and be a general out there on the gridiron. 812FB is looking good for sure. CSP 1 Quote

We have 8 games on our schedule as well where our defense will have a legit chance to outscore the opponents by themselves. I doubt we see any team score more than 24 points. The Nittany Line so to speak. So Hoover just needs to be methodical and get us 25 Lebowski 1 Quote

I just can't imagine being Howard University late in the third quarter down 60 points when we start force feeding our third string RB ... ... and the third string RB is Lee Beebee Jr. And our backup o-linemen have been dying to hit someone and are coached by Bob Bostad. skhoosier2, CSP, Class of '66 Old Fart and 1 other 4 Quote
