Grrrrr I have tickets to the game tomorrow at Wrigley, and I have thought about wearing my Schwarbs Cubs jersey and not my World Series gold trimmed Arietta jersey. Of all the players from that 2016 to let go or trade, Rizzo and Schwarbs were the 2 I wanted to see stay. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
CSP Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Kyle's last two year avg-- 47HR 118RBI .244/.365/.525 He sits on 340 career bombs as of now... he turned 33 at the beginning of March. The only thing stopping him from 500 career is health... he only played 8 games defensively last season and that could significantly impact his ability later on to keep the bat in tact. Using "heavy DHers" of the past... Edgar Martinez played 8 full seasons after the age of 32 and hit 218 HR during that time. David Ortiz-- 7.5 season after the age of 32-- 252 HR during that time... Frank Thomas played 5 seasons worth after the age of 32-- 177HRs Nelson Cruz 9 Full seasons- 307 HR Edwin Encarnación 4.5 Seasons- 156 HR Let's take the average of those 5 guys.... that's 6.8 more full seasons--- and at Kyle's current HR rate-- He can EASILY hit 200 HR, that's not even close to a stretch. Personally, I think we could see him hit 550. We are taking HOF at 500+ jermhoosierfan 1 Quote

Hovadipo Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Could Schwarbs hit 500? I think it's gettable if he plays until age 38. Especially if he adds another 40-50 HR season somewhere in there. Quote

Those last 2 years will be test as he has 3 more elite years ahead if he doesn't get hurt. Hovadipo and BtownStrength 2 Quote
