The Auburn player's injury was from landing flat on her back and hitting her head on the floor after a battle for a rebound. The court did not play a factor in the injury in this one either. LamarCheeks Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 FWIW, we did move up a spot -- No. 5. I think a couple years ago, we got up to No. 4 -- so we haven't eclipsed our highest ranking. Still, I want Grace to get healthy -- soon. We lost Mack for a few games last season, and it had an effect. Every team goes through injuries, but I'd like to see this group be able to put its best squad on the floor night in and night out. With Grace, this is a really good team. Don't think we're in the company of Stanford or South Carolina, but these gals are good. And we've got No. 5 vs. No. 6 in our ACC/B1G game Thursday at SSAH. JerryYeagley23 and thebigweave 2 Quote

The facility and organizers did not fulfill this end of the deal and have admitted as much. Ah, that explains it. It’s definitely bare bones and if they were promised something totally different then that’s BS. Doubt there’s much the admin can do about being lied to. CSP 1 Quote

And that IG post is one of the all time great posts. mamasa, Stuhoo and thebigweave 3 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 28, 2022 Author Posted November 28, 2022 The initial news on Grace could certainly be much much worse. Tonight on her radio show, Coach Moren said Grace is out "indefinitely" with her knee injury. Mentions that she's "day-to-day," will not play Thursday vs. No. 6 North Carolina. ellen.walden, Todd41, LockdownD and 2 others 4 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 So it’s not an ACL? OK, then, we can work with that. mamasa and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote

Sounds like it is not a tear which is the best we can hope for. I expect Coach and her staff will not rush Grace back into live ball action given the upcoming schedule in December/early January. Assuming it is only a strained ligament, we might see Grace out for 6-8 weeks. In six weeks, we have Nebraska, Northwestern at seven weeks, followed by Maryland, Wisconsin and Illinois. We have tough back-to-back with Michigan and Ohio State on January 23rd and 26th, respectively. It would be great to have her back at full strength and a bit of game time heading into those two matchups. mamasa and LockdownD 2 Quote
TTT Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 @ 80% with some type of support on knee and border line starter playing 20 minutes per game and maybe first coming off bench may be realistic simply to protect her knee and for Grace to make it through the rest of the season limiting setback/s. Nope. She’ll play when she’s healthy, and she’ll be a 35 minutes per game player when she’s healthy. Quote

Sure depending on how healthy she is and gets. If you’re talking a month to recover and playing back into shape (examples Glenn Grunwald, Scott May, MacKenzie Holmes, Bargesser) though they were different and more serious…tracking T. MOREN POSITIVITY I think Grace has a significant issue that is going to take time maybe comparable to Holmes coming back last year even though different knee issues. I don’t think it’s going to be a wave a wand and Grace is automatically 100% back. It would be great if I am wrong. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Tonight's radio show - - Alyssa Geary sprained her ankle Saturday in practice, no timetable for her return yet. - Kiandra Browne 's recovery *could* last into January. - Grace Berger is "attacking her recovery" process hard. TTT Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Got off track and missed it. IU Ladies are getting on thin ice in injury department. Holmes last year and Berger this year. 14 player roster already down to 10. Quote
