An article I read says Ashlyn is the most decorated player in Fanshaw Falcon womens basketball history! She is a DOMINANT forward who has had a jaw dropping playoff triple-double of 31/26 along with 10 blocks in a national semi finale! Put that in your pipe and smoke it! ;} Stuhoo 1 Quote

Per her conference publication: "In the Canadian system, the OCAA falls under the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Top-tier OCAA players frequently use this conference to develop their games, eventually transferring to USport (Canada's top university level) or even smaller NCAA/NAIA programs." Quote

It would be a miracle if it translated into a useful 10 mpg Big Ten player. There's a few game videos of her on Instagram. To say the least, they do not show a usable D1 college player. A possible conclusion: Maybe, Z a pleasant surprise lower overall injury issue that has yet to be proven. Or the desperation especially since NIL….not getting qualified big back up the level of L.M. And (then the Wiseman disappointment not a chance at this level just will not work at this level)….Zoe Jackson wildcard maybe and trying to move forwards over are just exposes other issues. The thing about the Z boot if it is precautionary and giving more time ok…but during the season how many times does is it put on and taken off. Quote

One would think that maybe she can at least come in and give five good fouls.. Quote
TTT Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:45 PM Same conversations as last year. Z healthy vs unhealthy = IU Lady basketball success and everyone else staying healthy in the rotation of players who are going to play meaningful minutes. The usual thin fragile roster…Makalusky has been surprisingly very durable. Quote
mickey one Posted Wednesday at 04:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:25 PM Somebody at IU had to have looked at Anderson, and decided: "This player has potential, and might be able to contribute to our team". Colsten, or CTM, or someone made that assessment. HoosierHoopster and mamasa 2 Quote

Agreed; especially with the 6'3" player. Maybe the freshman has potential. But yes; we likely got them for free and because it's a 15 player roster it's not a problem to me. Moreover, Moren is handling the need to re-tool exactly the opposite of how Devries did last year, and I am a fan of how she's approaching it. She is willing to take her lumps now by featuring mostly very young players, with the expectation that we are building experience for that young talent and it will pay off in a big way down the road. Say her league is "glorified high school level"--if she was dominant, had a 31/26/10 game in the championship run, was the league MVP, shouldn't IU be interested in her? She will be a back-up next year, and has the chance to prove herself to get minutes. How can you say "no" to that? Quote

Just find the Google link: The young lady may be a wonderful addition (I hope so!) but she has not practiced and has rarely ever played against a 6'0" tall or more player; she's the only 6' player on her Northern Canadiian small school roster. The "cheat code" highlight videos from her monster game show highlights of her rebounding missed free throws and scoring, and blocking shots over players that look to be between 5'5" and 5'8". Guess which player she is from her championship team roster: The good news is that this is a no-harm, 15 scholly dart throw, and also that this is an older player - in Canada college doesn't start until age 19. ronzo4IU and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

TTT Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago IU Ladies have and will continue to need physical scorers who can put the ball in the basket at an elite level in all phases to do much. ronzo4IU 1 Quote
Aaron Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I wouldn't freak out over a boot in June. Time will tell if IU made right decision rolling with Z when season starts. If she is injured again, it will look bad and team clearly should have had her go in portal and pay someone else instead. Definitely doesn't calm nerves though after her injuries last season. Quote

Probably pretty similar to the wish list of 340 or so other teams ... Stuhoo 1 Quote
