B1G Programs on the Downward Slide

Recommended Posts

Not B1G programs, but I’m interested in seeing what will happen to Duke and UK when the one and done rule is gone. They are going to have young rosters without the elite talent that they are accustomed. Will K retire instead of building it back up over 2-3 seasons? What’s Cal do when his recruiting pitch is gone?

Coach k will retire because he will actually have to coach like back in the day. Cal will either go to the NBA or retire because he will actually have to coach.

Of course MSU will nosedive now and render our W as mediocre by tourney time emoji849.png

I think it will easily be a Quad 1 win at tourney time. They’d have to drop out of the top 50 NET for it to be Quad 2. USPS can probably confirm that.

76 for it to be quad 2. No chance of that happening. You still want them to be at least in the top 10. Not all quad 1 wins are created equal. A win at MSU if they are still in top 10 is still way better then at Penn St that is 74 even though they are both quad 1 wins

I guess it's possible that Miles gets dumped, but Nebraska fan interest and attendance has been at an all-time high under Miles, and with Palmer, Watson , Copeland, and Bourchard gone after this year, if they start over that program is gonna take on a major rebuilding aura that it will have trouble digging out of. Although, I guess with those players gone they'll be in rebuild mode with Miles too, but not as much so.

Conclusion? Nebrasketball is screwed.

I think he’s a perfect fit there and has a lot of consistency. Who do they get instead? Piece o corn, always on the bubble.

They'll get some players through free agency.  I've thought Miles and Nebrasketball has been similar to Iowa State in that area.
