BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Basketball will square off against its first ranked opponent of the season when No. 15/17 Michigan State comes to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET. It will be the annual Head To The Hall game as tickets for all fans will be $1.

ABOUT THE SPARTANS
After opening up Big Ten play by beating No. 16 Iowa at home, Michigan State is coming off an 70-62 loss at Northwestern on Thursday night. They are led in scoring and rebounding by senior center and Big Ten Player of the Week Jenna Allen (15.9 ppg., 8.3 rpg.). Redshirt junior Shay Colley (14.9 ppg.) and B1G Freshman of the Week Nia Clouden (12.5 ppg., 4.6 apg) adding double digits for the Spartans. They average 83.7 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor.

  • Indiana improved to 2-0 in the Big Ten for the first time since 2010-11 in ab 83-75 win over Penn State. The Hoosiers were led by redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg's 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Patberg leads the way for IU in scoring, averaging 18.4 points per game to go along with a team-high 4.9 assist per game and 6.6 rebounds per outing.
  • Three other Hoosiers are averaging double figures with redshirt junior forward Brenna Wise (14.1 ppg.) and sophomore guards Jaelynn Penn (11.6 ppg.) and Bendu Yeaney (10.7 ppg.).
  • At the free throw line, Indiana is shooting 75.5 percent behind three players who shoot 82 percent or better. Their clip is second in the Big Ten and 33rd overall in the country. Wise leads the way at the charity stripe with a 91.4 percent clip.
  • For the fifth-straight week, Indiana is receiving votes in both major polls,
  • A season-high crowd of 4,481 fans saw the Hoosiers play the Lady Lions on New Year's Eve as Indiana is 29th in the country in overall attendance.
  • The Hoosiers hold the fifth-longest active home win streak in the country at 18 consecutive home wins.

WAY TO GO LADIES.  GREAT WIN

Love the fact we're so much deeper than we were last year.  Gulbe 9  pts. and 3 reb. and Berger 10 pts. 3 reb. 2 assts, both off the bench.  That's a luxury we didn't have last year.  And Wise and Patberg what a couple of great transfers for the program.
