Once you get that title you're untouchable. I still seriously doubt Louisville's 2013 banner is touched.

The title is gone as far as I know. All wins 2012-2014 vacated, so why would the title stay?

From the article...

"The Louisville basketball team will vacate wins between 2012-14, and while the specific games are still to be announced, consultant Chuck Smrt said that it would include the 2013 national title game, meaning that the championship banner is likely to come down because ineligible players who received impermissible benefits were involved."

I believe it when the NCAA actually forces UL to take the banner down.  Until that happens I'll doubt the NCAA touches it.  I could see them going so far as removing wins around that but not taking it from them.

I agree. NCAA would have to become a competent organization before doing something intelligent. If it’s logical, it’s illogical. That’s NCAA logic

Actually UofL has filed an appeal today to fight the "Grossly Excessive" Sanctions.... 

 

So for now the banner still hangs.

Arizona assistant takes the fall and it's back to business as usual. They will just bring in somebody else now to do the dirty work. The fbi is not going to change anything.
