Magnanimous Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 The Big Ten is preparing to potentially go to 20 conference games starting next season. This announcement would follow the ACC's decision to go to 20 conference games for the 19-20 season. Link Quote

HoosierAloha Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 So 7 home/away opponents, 3 each home and away? There is a good opportunity for the B1G here. One protected rivalry and then alternating four sets of 3 between home/away, home, home/away, away, and then start the rotation over again. I don't like how the B1G schedules now. JHoosier914 Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 So right now with 12-13 non-conference games, we can get 3-4 marquee opponents (this year Duke, Seton Hall, Louisville and ND). If we go down to 10 or 11 non-conference games and keep 3-4 of those type games (with the one we might not have every year as the Gavitt Classic), I LOVE this idea. Magnanimous Posted October 19, 2017 Author Posted October 19, 2017 Made official today for next season. The change will guarantee IU plays Purdue twice each season going forward. WayneFleekHoosier, Str8Hoosiers, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote
