It took longer than that for me, but his planning for that game was Doug-Mallory-defensive-coordinator level of incompetent.  He couldn't possibly have done a worse job of preparing the team for that zone; he reached a special level of absolutely clueless.

If I wasn't rooting for Indiana to win I would've been impressed by the level of horrendous he was on.

The fact that he knew nothing just turned me against him. I knew that was the most talented team he would ever have at IU. Just absolutely ridiculous

I'm seeing a lot of "IU played tough, they exceeded expectations, I'm proud of their fight, great effort" on Twitter right now. They did a lot better than we expected, but I'm not really one for moral victories. Even with OG and JBJ out we have enough talent that we shouldn't be shocked when we hang with quality teams on the road. I just hate that we're at the "we fought hard" stage as a program.

I have a low tolerance for stupid moral victories.  The time for moral victories was done years ago.  A loss is a loss.

If you are on this message board you are a die hard. There are far more casual fans then there are die hards it just seems like there are more die hards because we are here posting between each other. It's like when you go to college since you are surrounded by others going so you assume everyone goes to college in reality it is a very small number compared to people who do not attend college. As a mailman on my route I run into very few diehards when it comes to IU. A ton of casual IU fans ( young and old) and most are only concerned about what happens season to season ( no recruiting). It's funny walking on my route after a loss sucks because everyone knows how diehard I am and it seems almost every customer ask about it and my thoughts. Wayne u might be surprised how many older fans (60 or older still pull for crean) at least on my route in Martinsville. I've done my part over the years of telling anyone that would listen on my route that he was not the answer moving forward. I will be interested to see how these casual fans opinions will chance moving forward

Crean had his time for moral victories in his first few years here, no reason for them in year 9. It's not like this is Rutgers or some other bottom dweller.. "It's Indiana, it's Indiana," as some would say.
