Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 An offer to an 8th grader is not without precedent from Coach Moren. In June 2016, she offered '20 Sydney Parrish of Hamilton Southeastern who eventually committed to Oregon one of the top women's programs so I don't think for a moment this offer was for PR purposes but coach really believes this young lady as the potential to play for IU. I guess sometimes offering early can be helpful, show a kid that you believe in them, see their potential, ect a lot of kids (and parents for that matter) are just collecting offers these days and at the end of the day they're kids and they're "enjoying the process" a little too much. I bet kampschroeder had a hundred offers easy, same with parrish...always posting pictures of them in twitter with little P5 logos superimposed all around them.
