bhaggard89 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I don't hate this move at all. Anytime we can get recruiting connections from SEC country, I'll take it. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

He seems to fit the style that CTA wanted with a run-first offense. Quote

Tennesee was ranked 24th in the country in PPG, while we were ranked 88th. On the surface, seems like an upgrade. Quote

I never really look at twitter because I've found that even relating to the most recent Indiana tweets, a lot of them are stuff I flat out disagree with but looking at Tennessee's forum they're even saying DeBord didn't have complete control over the offense. Apparently Butch Jones had a lot of input and they're upset about that. Quote

akhosrof Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Hunter Johnson was committed to Tennessee at one point, right? Clemson has the top 2018 passer as well. Maybe there's a connection with DeBord?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hovadipo and Walking Boot of Doom 2 Quote

I'll report back momentarily. My step dad is a huge Tennessee fan as well and just text me and said you guys stole one from us. I responded with a please elaborate lol. To make it short he said their fans have been saying this guy is the reason Butch Jones is still around, recruits love him, and he will be a head coach somewhere soon. That is enough for me. Crimson and Cream Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Ok here's what my Vols friend just texted me in response to this: "Yeah I saw that. He seemed to do ok at Tennessee. Just spread offense so if you have a duel threat quarterback it seemed to work best ." Not really sure what this means, as Lagow definitely isn't a dual threat guy. Man I would kill to have a Tre Roberson here right now. What about the redshirt King, isn't he more of a dual threat option? Or Ramsey? Quote
johnsoniu Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I don't necessarily hate the hire, but I'm not popping the champagne for it either. Everyone deserves a fair shake. Welcome aboard Coach DeBord! (don't screw this up) Go Hoosiers! Walking Boot of Doom, HoosierAloha, hsrtxp and 1 other 4 Quote
