  1. It's Michigan. I would be surprised if he ends up there or if it's even true but ultimately, it's Michigan. It's a big dog with a big house that has big resources comparable to any program in the country. It also has more CFB titles than Bama over the last 4 years. NIL has evened the playing field and tilted it in our, meaning Big Ten, favor over the last 3 years and coaches know this. It's a program that can sell itself and attract any coach on the planet. Having said all that, it's Michigan. They typically look in house when it comes hiring.
  2. I'd reverse that and imagine guys from UM will want to look at us. I'm already thinking about a guy from my neck of the woods, Benny Patterson. He never received an offer from IUFB but now that he's got a full year under his belt and sporadic playing time who knows if that'll change. He'd be closer to his family. I would think he's got a pretty sweet NIL deal already so who knows. I spoke about him here and I don't think he ended up visiting that game.
  3. Not to hijack this thread about UEBB but he was on path to work some magic for the Aces. A dang shame what happened.
  4. The UM situation reminds me of Walter McCarty and UE. Absolutely troubling information being reported. Let's hope all parties get the help and support they all need.
  5. I don't know if there's anyone more disruptive than Daley but I do know he originally wasn't the starter. If y'all recall he became the starter after Kellan Wyatt went down. But to be fair, at the beginning of the season I thought Daley was going to be the starter anyway. Both were disruptive this season and both were transfers. So who knows what the plan is if Daley isn't able to return. Best case: he's back on the field Worst case: done for the year Silver lining: It's a TEAM game. Regardless, I really hate it for Daley. I think he'll be playing on Sundays. This freak upped his stock this year and if he's unable to go he'll no longer be able to rise his stock to the moon.
  6. The amount of money Notre Dame gets to pocket being an independent is probably turning heads in all of the football conferences. So, I would like to imagine there's a yearly Las Vegas trip with all the conference presidents trying to figure out how to bend that leprechaun over a barrel a take all his gold. LOL!
  7. Yeah, I was already going to be out there. The stars aligned for me. I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd ever attend the Rose Bowl that IUFB was actually playing in.
  8. I understand what you are saying but Coach Cig has been this good at every place he's been a HC. He came into IUFB at the right time with a lot of experience and learned mistakes. The top level brass at IU made the perfect hire and that's what should be looked at in the grand scheme of things. In my experience, getting support at that top is what makes everything work. The 2023 Allen roster would have been just fine coached by Coach Cig. The D might not be as good but they'd for sure be in the mix. Keep in mind in 2023 they lost 4 one score games and you can count the PSU loss as a one score game in my opinion as well. Sorsby made a huge mistake transferring to Cincy and folks like Isiah Jones, Amare Ferrell, Louis Moore, Jamari Sharpe and Omar Cooper Jr. are proving that roster wasn't that bad. I often wonder how folks like Matthew Bedford (transferred to Oregon), Zach Carpenter (transferred to Miami), Trent Howland (transferred to OkSt), Cam Camper (transferred to Boise St.) would have panned out under Coach Cig because all of these cats contributed. They for sure would have developed under a Coach Cig staff. But man, that 2023 offensive line (Bedford, Benson, Carpenter, Katic, Smith) would have won a ton of games for us under Coach Cig. Bottom line coaching matters.
  9. Yeah, I think he's done. Everything I'm reading is 'long-term injury' so who knows.
  10. Any chatter with Coop's injury? Regarding Daley, man, major major blow. But, Tucker, Landino, Hosea and Ratcliff are important ingredients to the magic sauce. I expect Ndukwe filling the spot.
  11. It means, if you're asking, it's best you don't even try to understand it. Keep your money brother. LOL!
  12. This actually makes sense if you think about it. I can't seem to find it but I recall talking about ND's independent status regarding the new CFP format and how it might impact the program. Looks like after year two of the format they're scrambling to figure out how to ensure they get in. Personally, I think it's a knee jerk decision, much like PSU firing Franklin, to withdraw. They were the CFP runner-up last year. I guess the ACC is getting so bad they see the writing on the wall to move on to greener pastures. Don't eff with a SEAL, man.
  13. FCS format of FBS
  14. Makes you wonder "what if..." decades ago IUFB truly had top level support like they do now.
  15. TFL and Sacks Sayin was absolutely confused at what he was seeing. A lot of those sacks were due to the coverage. 5 sacks!!!
  16. I've been saying this all year. Our D will be the reason we win the game.
  17. Game 13 in the books. IUFB 13 O$U 10 We all know what DEFENSE does, it WINS the BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! Next game: The Rose Bowl - New Year's Day v winner of Bama/Sooners
  18. @HoosierHuddle asked the question in this presser. For context: 2023 247 IUFB Composite Rank - 68 247 OSU Composite Rank - 4 2024 247 IUFB Composite Rank - 66 247 OSU Composite Rank - 5 2025 247 IUFB Composite Rank - 49 247 OSU Composite Rank - 4 2026 247 IUFB Overall Rank - 30 247 OSU Overall Rank - 6 Another way to see the gap closing is by the Avg. 2025 IUFB Avg: 86.51 OSU Avg: 91.51 2025 IUFB Avg: 88.0 OSU Avg: 92.07
  19. The only other coach I can think of that might be remotely close is Ben McCollum. We'll find out soon enough. I have a feeling we are going to hate Iowa basketball for a long long time.
  20. Hands down the toughest opponent (including CFP opponents) IUFB will play the entire year. They're the real deal. The silver lining though, our D isn't too bad. If healthy, Ponds and company in the secondary will neutralize weapons they're used to using. The game will be won in the trenches by the front 7. Defense wins this game.
  21. Games 11 and 12 in the books. IUFB 31 Wisconsin 7 and IUFB 56 School up north 3 I dropped the ball posting game 11. More than likely it was the last home game of the year. Another performance by Charlie Becker and the D did what it has done all season. Game 12, the bucket stays and we got to see reps from players we might see next season. Next game: O$U
