  1. I was trying to convince myself Alberto Mendoza was the next starting QB for IUFB but all the signs were there that's just not how this staff works. I Googled them. Their m.o. is bringing in an experienced QB. They did it at JMU as well. And I worry about this formula's sustainability. I say this because why would any highly coveted high school QB want to sign with IU knowing they'll not see the field unless there's an injury to the starter? I don't foresee a FR, R-FR, or SO ever starting at the QB position with this staff. I don't think this a bad necessarily but I do know injuries happen.
  2. Here is where you can get a lot of updates regarding transfer and recruiting information.

  4. She's a very big reason IUFB is where it is today. She said all the right things during that interview.
  5. Speaking of helmets. Bring back the script. I'm also a fan of the block I.
  6. This is awesome if true. A creature of habit. It's a blueprint, a plan, a process.
  7. abhor aplomb No need for these words, for real. Doesn't this guy writing know his audience? lol
  8. Now that we're going into year 3, I'm starting to see a trend with the staff regarding the portal. Try to sign at least one experienced player at every position. Experienced means, a player that has played significant snaps and extra bonus if they have multiple years of eligibility. I'm looking forward to see how the developed high school signees mix in next season. Questions like, will we see guys like Garcia, Hall, or Burrus get any snaps?

  10. Can't wait for the Marching Hundred playing This Old Man when PaddyMac boots the pigskin to the moon!
  11. Yes, he's a good QB. He just had never seen a D like ours. He'll adjust wherever he ends up. Also, I think he was battling a nagging injury and when Ponds made his head roll that was pretty much it for him that day.
  12. If you're trying to rationalize 'arguments' (if you want to call it that) on social media than my advise would be to turn your pocket computer off or stick it into your pocket and let it be. lol The good guy side is bringing out the folks that I've been pretty good at avoiding considering I'm an IUFB first guy. I can confidently say you're more than likely seeing the IUBB folks making fools of themselves. If you're a IUBB first guy, please don't take me out of context and I don't mean any 'shade' towards you.
  13. Fletcher is a beast. He's the real deal. Hopefully our D can bring him down on contact.
  14. The current 2-deep or the OG 2-deep that are currently injured? LOL.
  15. Yeah, that 247 roster link doesn't have Landino's age and I am 100% certain he turned 20 the day of the Peach Bowl game. So when the accusation occurred he was 19. I think the roster's avg age is closer to high 20 or low 21 if I had to guess. This is based on the amount of SO and FR on the roster. By my count there are 29 FR, 12 R-FR, 5 SO and 8 R-SO totaling 54 players on the roster. Then take the following assumption: FR AVG AGE: 19 * COUNT CLASS: 29 = 551 Total Years R-FR AVG AGE: 20 * COUNT CLASS: 12 = 240 Total Years SO AVG AGE: 20 * COUNT CLASS: 5 = 100 Total Years R-SO AVG AGE: 21 * COUNT CLASS: 29 = 168 Total Years Divide YEAR TOTAL AMT: 1059 by 54 players = The AVG AGE of 54 Players on a roster totaling 101 players is 19.61. And I know for certain R-FR Ajani is 19 so that means even this average is too high. If my math is wrong please correct me. I'm not claiming to be a wizard at this poop.
  16. Can someone on here provide solid information regarding the age of all the players on the roster? I'm tired of reading poop online about the roster's avg age being 23. I think that's impossible considering how many SO and FR are currently on the roster. Am I wrong?
  17. I'd prefer an IU Football approach to this. Where it covers 3 or 4 different plot lines. Think something like a Pulp Fiction or Magnolia style of movie. The main characters represents Cig and staff, players (Aiden Fisher's personal story is golden for the screen), "top brass" (this could be a NIL donor or admin), and the fanbase (I'm available if the screenwriters need a story). But if I had to guess, the more mainstream approach would be focused on Coach Cig.
  18. Same as the previous big games, IUFB's run game and D will be the reason we win or lose this game.
