  1. JMU went through this during Coach Cig's final year (2023 season) there. They were in their final year of a two-year transition from FCS and at one point was 10-0. GameDay showed up game 11 against App St. and that's where I learned about the rule. I think they ended up playing in a bowl due to not enough bowl eligible teams. If NDSU ends up unbeaten it will absolutely create a discussion but ultimately I think the NCAA will deny them. It's a dumb rule if you ask me. Maybe NDSU will make some noise. https://www.si.com/college-football/north-dakota-state-pushes-change-longstanding-ncaa-rule-fbs-move
  2. I'm good with Coach Kuntz man. He's been hitting doubles and triples since he's been in Bloomington. Dude can recruit.
  3. Oh man, things have gotten just a little more interesting! I'm salivating with our current defensive front yet alone adding Brewster to the mix.
  4. I stand corrected. LOL!
  5. Do we know for sure if it was Ponds? I was thinking it was Kamara after the year he had in 2024. But that's just a guess on my part.
  6. "It's about the people." -Coach Cig Continuity is obviously something he values.
  7. Nope. That daunted school to the north of Bloomington really likes it when we wear that color.
  8. Hey folks. My rarely random basketball post of the year. I'm not a fan of the black uniforms. We should never wear black. Ever.
  9. TTU signed Sorsby because he doesn't throw picks, can run the ball, and has four solid years of experience in P4 competition. And who knows what kind of QB he could have been had he not transferred out of IUFB. He made that 2023 squad so much better than they actually were. His last five games that season were solid and kept us in those games. Had he been named the starter all year long I have no doubt that squad wins more than 3 games and they don't need 4 OTs to beat Akron.
  10. It also reflects on the top brass as well. Let's face it, the focus was not on IUFB at all and the program started when Pam Whitten demanded it.
  11. Overall/Conference/Transfer 23/7/NA - 247 27/9/NA - On3 Class Map Previous Year Class Ranking Italic indicates the recruit has a 4 star or greater rating by one of the rating systems. High School (4) QB Jameson Purcell - Park Ridge, IL (7/21/2025) DB/ATH Monsanna Torbert Jr. - Cincinnati, OH (1/10/2026) S/ATH Garyon Hobbs - Louisville, KY (1/10/2026) WR Ja'Hyde Brown - Louisville, KY (1/10/2026) DECOMMIT OT Jeremiah Jones - Michigan City, IN (1/30/2026)
  12. Yeah, I think so. I believe, it's the best transfer class ranking. I could be wrong though.
  13. Most likely the final update. Overall/Conference/Transfer 20/6/8 - 247 29/8/1 - On3
  14. If we can't get Tank, I'd take, Jack "Bubba" Butler aka JB Butler. He's right up there with Tank IMO.
  15. Against 5A and 6A competition as well. For example, IUFB commit Trevor Gibbs (Crown Point) and Minnesota commit Aaden Aytch (Lafayette Jeff) were some of his blocking assignments in his Jr. season highlights. He'll be at least a 3 star before he signs. Hopefully he signs with IUFB.
  16. Just for context regarding college football recruiting compared to basketball, IUFB's current starting LG was a zero star preferred walked on.
  17. No. It really never has been but it's really not now that NIL is legal. Just like every year, we'll lose some verbal commits when it's all said and done. We'll see if Brown stays committed to IUFB. If he doesn't it's more than likely we were out bid.
  18. "Production of potential." -Coach Curt Cignetti on recruiting.
  19. It didn't need fixing unless you think Duke had a better season than JMU and Miami shouldn't have gotten in this year.
  20. For context about the rating system for college football, IUFB's starting LG Drew Evans, was a zero star walk-on at Wisconsin. Every college in the country has a Drew Evans on their team. There's an award called the Burlsworth Trophy given annually to the most outstanding FBS player who began their career without a scholarship. The rating system is to be taken with a grain of salt. There are metrics that indict a high school kid is going to be good at the next level thus the rating system but overall, a coach that is in the trenches on the daily are johnny on it when it comes to this stuff. Some coaches are better than others. Some coaches don't have the resources to land the kid they want as well. Before Coach Cig, IUFB was in the 'lack of resources' category. And sometimes there's a Drew Evans that walks in the door.
