Curious if anyone has heard anything about adding more DBs?

Same as the previous big games, IUFB's run game and D will be the reason we win or lose this game.

Vehemently disagree with all of your takes regarding shoving G5 schools to the side and tournament size. JMU out performed both Tennessee and SMU last year. My X feed is flooded with JMU right now. It matters to these schools. And most G5 fans aren't pretending G5 schools have a legitimate chance to win these games. For them, it's about the season. It's about having a more fun SEASON!!!! And earning their right to play with the big boys is the ultimate American Dream. Also, both JMU and Tulane just got $4 million each for their conferences! We don't have enough schools in the playoff either. We need to adopt the FCS format and be done with it. Why in the world would anyone that loves football not want this playoff!!! Seeing IUFB host the winner of warm climate schools Arizona or USC!? Sign me up and here's my money. And based on what I saw in the first round, JMU might actually beat BYU in this playoff. Does a hot Duke team beat Vandy? How about that matchup with UM and UU? Holy smokes, this is per entertainment the FBS is missing out.

I am not aware of the rules but with Brady it's a unique situation due to his broadcasting gig.

I'm fine without any bowl games if I'm 100% honest.

Just adopt the FCS 24 team format and be done with it. This isn't hard.

Every team goes into the season with hopes to win their conference and make it in the CFP. It's been that way for like, 10 years. Bowls are no longer cherished anymore. Not to mention, bowls are saturated and have been for a long time. Since the concept of the CFP a non CFP bowl game is basically the NIT. Players understand this, because the goal is to get to the CFP. But I do understand your point and for me personally, I'm looking forward to the day IUFB wins a bowl game. It's been a long long time.

He committed to Tom Allen and later flipped to Garrett Riley. Both are currently at Clemson.

Thanks for the response here. Appreciate it. Can a player playing in the CFP during that time period declare "transfer" while still playing on the team? Or does that player have to stop playing? I don't understand the rules at all. I ask because I'm assuming there will be available transfers that are currently in the playoff, much like Pat Coogan from last year. Also, it really puts current playoff teams in a bind if you think about it. Especially if you start signing transfers. I can't imagine what that would say to some of the players on the roster, if that makes sense.

Can someone explain the transfer rules now? Isn't the window shorter now? Wondering if the CFP champion and runner-up will be able to get in the game of the portal?

As far as I know, I think he'll be back. I haven't heard anything otherwise. Of course that could change in a heartbeat. The transfer portal is what it is.

Looks like Santana Hopper might be available again. He signed with Tulane but BIPSList has him on his list.

If the staff decides to pursue a QB in the transfer portal I have no doubt the QB that ends up on campus will elevate his resume. The only QB on this list that did not transfer in is Cole Johnson. So that suggest we might be looking to continue the trend of getting a transfer, again. As noted, personally, I am of the thought we're good at the position and if a transfer comes in it'll be to add depth and competition only. Who knows.

So far he's been really good at spotting transfer portal ball players. He called Daley last year. He's also a Ponds fan and has had him on his channel a few times.
