Landing Hart has legs. I don't know if we'll get him but we most certainly have built a strong relationship with him. Lavar Keys is the other recruit we've built a solid line with. You can pretty much bet the house that any recruit from VA and MD interested in IU has a lot of sway.

Yes, from what I understand, all schools do this, unless there's a football team on the satellite campus. For example, UTSA has it's own team, so Texas doesn't count them. Another example, all UC schools, UCLA, UC Berkley, Davis, etc. etc.. Honestly though, I could be wrong, Texas might count UTSA grads?

Just take it easy, man.

Yeah, well, that's like, your opinion, man.

IUFB > IUFBB for me. always was, always will be. Shaking hands with the HC of the football team has always meant more to me than shaking hands with HC of the basketball team. I've done both multiple times on multiple occasions in multiple decades. Just because I value one sport over the other doesn't mean I don't root for or even pay for tickets to attend the other sport. You asked a question and I provided what that question you asked meant to me. No less, no more.

Decommitted from PSU.

Football first fan here. In the past it meant many white russians to help with the sorrow. It means, in 1987, Bill Mallory took shotgun while Bobby Knight was in the backseat. It means, the small victories, like watching Tevin Colman carry the rock and average 7.1 yards a carry throughout his 3 year career in the 812, are glorious to be a part of. It means, watching an IUFB game over an IUBB should both be playing at the same time. It means, while visiting btownbanners, spending most of if not all of my time in this section. It means, I can't tell you who's on the current IUBB roster and coaching staff but can probably tell you about 90% to 99% of players and coaches backgrounds on the IUFB roster. That's what 'focused on football' means for me anyway.

Top 30 S out of Pittsburgh, PA 247 ESPN On3 Decommit from PSU. No clue if he has any interest in coming to the new LB U. But he'd fit like a glove in a Haines system.

Top 5 OT out of Middleton, DE 247 ESPN On3 Decommit from PSU. We were one of the first to offer him.

Top 15 WR out of Pittsburgh, PA 247 ESPN On3 X Account: https://x.com/khaliltaylor08 Decommit from PSU. No clue if he has any interest in IUFB.

Today's presser. A much more measured businesslike coach. And some talk about the front 7. The cat's out of the bag folks. The country is fully aware of our secret sauce now. Personally, I liked his comments about Daley. It's almost like, he's saying, Daley's finally starting to click/get up to speed now.
-
Absolutely!!! Again, this is something beneficial for both parties.

Top 100 WR out of Middletown, DE 247 ESPN On3 Decommitted from PSU. I don't know if there's a chance to land him but his offer list is short with IUFB being on it.
-
Pretty good spot for both parties. It's amazing what can happen when a school focuses on the football program. ;-)

The Dude abides!!!!

WR out of Hyattsville, MD 247 ESPN On3 Decommit from PSU. He committed in August 2024. So he was all in on Franklin. I don't know if he's even interested in IUFB but the production of Sarratt and Coop helps the cause. Somewhat small, but runs a 4.3 40yd, so would fit right in a Coach Cig/Shanahan offense.
-
Absolutely, I'm just pointing out that from a business perspective, like Adidas, CFB assets are a current in the now thing. Especially with NIL and the portal.
-
I don't know man, if I'm an exec at Adidas I'm on the horn and making sure IUFB gets some attention. You know, the current hot ticket that sells. That's like sells 101. But that's just me.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
Lebowski replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I've always thought this the day we hired him. But man, money is the ultimate persuasion. Let's hope he loves it in the 812 and feels right at home. -
Today's IUFB team would currently be ranked #1 if the uniform said, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, Ohio State, USC, Washington, Nebraska, and I dare say even schools like Michigan State, UCLA, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the school up north. The history of the school is not helping the reality.
-
Unfortunately, I think that's just gonna be the case every year. Last year we compensated his success by restructuring his contract. I'd assume we'll do the same this year. At some point we won't be able to match and it will ultimately be Coach Cig's own personal decision to go elsewhere. Let's hope he absolutely loves the 812 and truly feels at home.

I can't believe they canned him. PSU's AD is an IUFB alumni. Honestly, I'm shocked. Dude was in the CFP last year. They hosted a game ta boot. What kind of negative trickle down will hit the program? They're gonna lose current roster and recruits committed. I'm not sure they thought this through.

Both PSU and Illinois drop out. And it's absolutely maddening to see so many SEC schools in the top 25. That conference isn't what it is perceived. Ole Miss is not a top 10 school. Bama is not a top 10 school. And half of the SEC would struggle in the Big Ten while the other top half would lose multiple times against the BigTen's top half.
