  1. Troy has the potential to be an NBA player. He has the physical attributes that you need to make it in the league. I just haven't seen anything at all in his three years at IU that suggests he's ever going to realize his potential.
  2. I kinda feel bad for him. If he had people truly in his corner, instead of people trying to laugh all the way to the bank, he probably wouldn't be in this situation. Hope he took a foreign language class at IU.
  3. People only think he's a flopper because of Twitter/Vine. Acting for fouls is really the only way he'll get calls most of the time. He takes more contract than 99% of the league during a game, it just doesn't look like it because he's 6'8, 260+ pounds and guys bounce right off him. It's the same thing that Shaq dealt with. You get mauled but no one cares because you're so much bigger than everyone else. You complain and everyone calls you a wuss because someone made a vine and it gets 5 million loops. He would've adjusted his game, or went and led the NFL in receiving yards.
  4. Could Durant have thrown those games so he could leave OKC? I just think it's incredibly weak to battle a team in a 7 game series and then join up with them after they beat you. It'd be like Jordan heading to the Pistons after getting beat down.
  5. He joined the team with the best regular season record in NBA history. The team that knocked his team out after being down 3-1. He was already on a title contender. He couldn't beat them, so he joined them. So yeah, he's a *****. It's the weakest decision by a "superstar" in NBA history. This is 100x worse than LeBron leaving for Miami.
  6. Any respect I had for Durant just flew out the window. Wow.
  7. Me neither. By all accounts he seems like a good kid and an extremely hard worker, but he has major physical limitations that prevent him from being a serviceable Big 10 quarterback. He's short (listed at 6'1), and skinny (listed at 174 pounds), and doesn't have the exceptional speed or arm strength that the guys who succeed at his size have. He would've benefitted greatly from a redshirt, it's a shame our qb situation the past two years didn't allow for one.
  8. Zander struggles to throw the ball downfield... If he's our quarterback this season then we're in trouble, imo.
  9. I'm not expecting anything from him. He doesn't seem like a Big 10 caliber player, but it's not his fault Crean offered him a scholarship. As long as he doesn't do anything off the court to embarrass the program I'm fine with the situation.
  10. It'd be an interesting concept. I think it'd be hard to avoid the league going the way of the D League, though. Idk if there would be a market for this, but having 4-year guys like Hulls or Watford playing in their college state could draw in some fans.
  11. http://www.franchiseherald.com/articles/43024/20151101/victor-oladipo-orlando-magic-stats.htm He seems to like Oladipo's game at the least. Whether that influences his free agency decision though who knows. If you ask Oladipo to be your #1 option then he's going to struggle, but I think he should thrive in his role in OKC.
  12. ...... Ok. Durant seems to disagree with you.
  13. I've been watching LeBron since I was 8 and sneaking out of bed to watch him play when his high school games were on espn so I'm definitely biased when it comes to the Jordan/LeBron debate. I think this title might motivate him to gun for another MVP next year instead of coasting through the regular season. I doubt he'll make anymore first team all defense teams though. Too many vines of him not trying on defensive possessions that would barely get noticed without social media.
  14. Yeah I agree, especially when minus the Mavs series he's done his thing in all his finals appearances. He's not out there playing by himself no matter how much it seems like it sometimes. I think the haters think losing before the finals is better than losing in the finals with how much they bring up Lebron's finals record. Witness: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/fancy-stats/wp/2016/06/20/lebron-james-passes-michael-jordan-as-most-valuable-player-in-nba-history/?client=safari#
  15. No one has ever come back down 3-1, and no one has ever led both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. He did both in the same series. He's got the same number of rings as Jordan at age 31. More finales MVPs than Kobe. He has a shot at the scoring record and becoming the first 30,000 point, 10,000 rebound and 10,000 assist player. He's going to retire as the best to ever do it, even if he never wins another ring. Not bad for a kid from Akron.
  16. It looks like he shot 5.1 a game in the regular season and 4.6 in the playoffs. His shooting percentages were much worse in the playoffs though. 43.8% and 40.4 from 3 compared to 50.4% and 45.4% from 3 in the regular season.
  17. Steph has come up small in each of the past two finals. LeBron is judged solely on his finals performances, and all year long everyone was annointing Steph as the best in the NBA, so shouldn't he get the same treatment? This guy was the unanimous MVP and had a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals with two of the last three at home, and he blew it. Steph shrunk in the moment, Kyrie shined.
  18. Oh absolutely not, LeBron is my favorite player of all time. He was beyond sensational. Kyrie outplayed Steph all series long though. When the lights were brightest Kyrie was his best. I'm rolling with him over Steph any day of the week. Steph's gonna remember Kyrie's game winner for a long, long time.
  19. So about Kyrie not even being a top 3 guard in the NBA...
  20. Steph got exposed this playoffs, imo.
  21. Lillard spent four years in college. Kyrie played like 10 games at Duke and then went to the dumpster fire that was the Cavs. He was just a talented kid on a garbage team. It's not an excuse, Kyrie just wasn't mature. Kyrie might not be much of a leader right now, but having LeBron in his ear every day will only help him. He was still recovering from his knee injury for most of the year but seems to finally be hitting his stride. Give him an offseason to actually work on his game and not spend it all rehabbing and I think we'll see some big improvements. I'm excited to see what he can do when he becomes "the man" in Cleveland as LeBron declines.
  22. He's been the best guard in the NBA finals so far though. Lillard over Kyrie? Cmon now...
  23. I'm kind of surprised no one's went with Kyrie so far.
