Ummm, what? No strawman argument here

I don't agree with immediately releasing a guy if he's charged with a crime. This situation is different since Enis admitted to the crime, but in general I'm not a fan of it. I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I lose everything I've worked for and my life is ruined because I was falsely accused of a crime. It's easy to say cut the athlete immediately and that IU is under no obligation to give an athlete due process when you're not the one with your future on the line. Just because it's technically true doesn't mean it's right.

Agreed. I think a lot of the criticism comes from people, myself included, who love IU basketball and football but don't really care about IU's other sports very much. He's doing exactly what an athletic director should do, I just care about iufb and iubb more than IU athletics as a whole so a lot of the things he does go unnoticed. I don't like the new name at all, but it's whatever. When you donate $40 million that's what you get to do. At least "assembly hall" is still included.

Darius Latham to the Oakland Raiders

I think being far away from the Indy area will be very good for him. He should be someone who really benefits from being able to focus on football 24/7, I hope he keeps that undrafted chip on his shoulder. He always seemed like a nice guy from my experiences with him, hopefully he's got a long career ahead of him. -

If you know an IU Bloomington student they can get you a student ticket for $10, I did it for a friend last year, but I'm not sure if IU students from other campuses get the discount. -
I'm ready for 2016 IU Football

On the iufb website it says he rushed for 1,938 yards and 23 touchdowns his senior year of high school. Of course big 10 football is a different level but it looks like the foundation is there. It still seems like a weird move, though. -

http://btn.com/2016/07/20/dienhart-ranking-the-big-tens-top-10-defensive-backs/ Redshirt Jr. Rashard Fant was ranked the #10 DB in the Big 10. I'm really hoping for a big year from him. Outstanding kid. -
I don't know if I would call it an embarrassment for them. I think that what happened to us last season at Duke was embarrassing, but no one would expect these guys to compete with them. They're missing out on both a cool experience to play in one of the best venues in college basketball and an opportunity to improve by playing against a top team.

I forgot all about this law once the media quit talking about it a while back. It sucks that the Albany players are being punished for something that they had absolutely nothing to do with.

NBA fans...let's hear YOUR big 3

People only think he's a flopper because of Twitter/Vine. Acting for fouls is really the only way he'll get calls most of the time. He takes more contract than 99% of the league during a game, it just doesn't look like it because he's 6'8, 260+ pounds and guys bounce right off him. It's the same thing that Shaq dealt with. You get mauled but no one cares because you're so much bigger than everyone else. You complain and everyone calls you a wuss because someone made a vine and it gets 5 million loops. He would've adjusted his game, or went and led the NFL in receiving yards. -
Could Durant have thrown those games so he could leave OKC? I just think it's incredibly weak to battle a team in a 7 game series and then join up with them after they beat you. It'd be like Jordan heading to the Pistons after getting beat down.
-
He joined the team with the best regular season record in NBA history. The team that knocked his team out after being down 3-1. He was already on a title contender. He couldn't beat them, so he joined them. So yeah, he's a *****. It's the weakest decision by a "superstar" in NBA history. This is 100x worse than LeBron leaving for Miami.

Any respect I had for Durant just flew out the window. Wow.

Me neither. By all accounts he seems like a good kid and an extremely hard worker, but he has major physical limitations that prevent him from being a serviceable Big 10 quarterback. He's short (listed at 6'1), and skinny (listed at 174 pounds), and doesn't have the exceptional speed or arm strength that the guys who succeed at his size have. He would've benefitted greatly from a redshirt, it's a shame our qb situation the past two years didn't allow for one.
