Yeah Im in no way downplaying the ability of Wiggins or Simmons, I'm just saying let them be themselves instead of every year someone has to be the next Lebron or the next Jordan, etc. No doubt that Simmons is the best player in college basketball and that Wiggins is a special talent as well.
-
Every year some player is deemed the next Lebron, Jordan, Durant, or Magic Johnson. Sort of unfair to the players because not a lot of them have lived up to that hype, even though some have become great players none the less. They said it about OJ Mayo, Shabazz Muhammed, Andrew Wiggins, and now Simmons

Looks like Curtis Jones sitting behind the bench at tonights game in a black sweatshirt. Can anyone back this up or I am just seeing things?

I think you could even stretch it further and say between the top teams there isnt much separation. Lots of upsets this year and each big team has its own set of holes and weaknesses. Makes for an exciting season of college basketball

Today is one of those days that Hartman is killing us on both ends of the floor... -
Thank you!! I can't stand listening to him call games. He still thinks Syracuse and UNC did nothing wrong.
-
This is what happens when you put the game in the refs hands. We had so many opportunities to take control of our own "destiny" and we let it slip away.

Interesting to see Purdue perform against their first "real" opponent this year. They have been playing well all year but until today hadn't really played anyone yet.
-
I think they are starting to figure out how to use him cause when I watched them a few times earlier this year he looked lost on offense and looked to not fit in on their scheme
-
Thats understandable but we need solid role players as well that know their strengths and stick to it. If we can have a 3 point specialist on the team that can add 4 or 5 threes a game, that will go a long way. Ive watched Ryan Cline "stand at the arc" and drain threes for Purdue this year as a freshman and its really helped them win games. I'll take that any day

I'll take Gelon being more like Kellen Dunham or Ryan Cline tonight
-
I think he is underrated cause you never know which Hammons will show up to play. Last year it wasn't until late in the year that he seemed to decide to start caring about playing. Even this year he was disciplined by Painter for off the court issues. I think every year he has been suspended for off the court issues. He has tons of talent, but lacks discipline and work ethic to take him to the next level. But you are right, Id definitely take him on our roster. Cline as well
-
He goes in the Kellen Dunham category of major missed in state recruits. Kyle Guy will quickly put himself on the list next year
-
We should've recruited Cline harder. Heck of a shooter. Im hoping Gelon comes in the same way for us next year I think Purdue has the potential to be really good but they are struggling with this Pitt team that isn't very good. Its hard to see where Swanigan fits in on this team. Its a little bit awkward on the court with two bigs for Purdue it seems. Id love to have that problem though

Seth Greenberg defending Boeheim...makes me sick that when these programs and coaches like Pitino, UNC, Kentucky (Caliper), Boeheim, and others get in trouble all these people come running to their defense. They proved that they were cheating at Syracuse, there is PROOF and they still think he is innocent. Ridiculous

It was obvious what Wake Forest was going to do at the end and we just let them waltz to the basket. Our frontline played scared the whole game. All around bad game. Ziesloft hit 3 threes in the first half then we stopped going to him in the second half all together.

So far this year TW still hasnt looked like a lottery pick. Looks like a fringe 1st round/2nd round pick. Still can't rely on his jumper or his D. He is doing exactly what we need him to do as a cutter this year but like I keep saying, there are tons of guys riding the pine in the NBA that are cutters (even guys playing in Europe that are athletic and cutters). I think if Troy shows us his jumper more and solidifies his D and decision making he will start to climb. But I see him as a late 1st no matter

Amen. People want to compare him to the Draymond, but Draymond is in the NBA because he has a couple of inches on Valentine and because of his excellent shooting. Valentine is undersized to play the 3 in the NBA and too slow to play the 2. Great college player none the less

Didn't want to play with yogi or what? I could easily see them playing in the same backcourt Wait never mind that was the year of the Movement, that explains it all

I wasn't following recruiting much when Smith-Rivera was in high school, but how did we not get this guy in the candy stripes?
-
It got REALLY quiet as Smith Rivera just hit that three

During the Maryland-Georgetown game, Dakich said that Maryland has the best crowd in the Big Ten...
