We have gotten our fair share of Indiana talent. Nothing has been "reported", everything about Crean and HS coaches are "rumors". Same with anything regarding Brunk or Guy. I just think no matter who the coach is, there will always be players who just don't want to come to Indiana for some odd reason. Same happened with Knight. Some kids just flat out didn't want to come to Indiana to play for him
-
How would it help us with Indiana recruiting. Sure we have missed on some Indiana guys, but have every other Indiana coach, including Knight
-
I don't know if its about Indiana for the Blackmons…JBJ hasn't really talked about coming here because "its indiana" he has talked about coming here because of Crean and his opportunities to play for Crean and develop under him. I don't know if he would stay or not. I guess who stays and goes would depend on who the new new coach is.

I don't think he even gets an offer not matter what. No NBA people have ever even mentioned his name in any talks
-
No one in the NBA is offering him a job any time soon. His name has not been mentioned at ALL in any sort of NBA coaching talk
-
He's not a realistic candidate for Ball State hahah. At least its a suggestion though

Danny Hurley at Rhode Island 12-13 ; 8-21 13-14 : 14-18 In the Atlantic 10….. Would not be a smart move for IU

It only reflects bad on the personnel involved. Says nothing about the program at all. Other programs have had far worse go on and players still go

Definitely loyal to his former players but same could be said with Crean. He never ceases to praise players he coached and helped. -
Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

Exactly! Guys are looking for more playing time that they weren't going to get here. This whole conspiracy about Creaning is funny. Now if we want to talk about a guy who had no problem kicking multiple guys off a team, that would be Coach Knight haha -
Well you did say that we can't be picky and choosey about 5 stars….hahah

Does this apply to Lyle as well? hahah

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

Remy asked to be reinstated after his transfer paperwork had all been filed and sent to the NCAA. Then he came back and asked for his spot back AFTER all the paper work had been filed with the NCAA. So no, he was not ran off. He CHOOSE to leave. I support the kids who want to be here and play. I also don't think there is much similarity between Remy and Rob Johnson. Rob comes in as a much higher recruit. Rob was a high 4 star, top 50 recruit. Recruited by Virginia, Villanova, North Carolina, etc. Remy was not top 100, was a 2 star on ESPN (low 3 star on one other site). Indiana and Xavier were the top schools to offer him. Recruiting wise, they don't match up. I personally was never truly impressed with Remy. He never seemed to step up. Yes his knowledge as an upperclassman would've helped last year. But Rob is faster, a better shooter, and a better driver in my opinion -
Yeah I was at the scrimmage and I honestly think the exact opposite. Players were driving and kicking to the open man for 3s. Yogi was really able to set people up then when they would let off him he would hit shots. Yogi fed the ball to Hanner a couple times so that all he had to do was go straig by up with it and he did. Devin Davis and Holt looked really solid. Holt altered a lot of shots. Devin Davis played a lot at the free line and couldn't be stopped when he drove. Holt didn't really get the ball on offense. We won't have a traditional back to the basket big this year but I think the platoon we have will get it done. I was really impressed by Rob Johnsons ability to drive and score. Same with JBJ. Stan looked a lot more confident. His shot is still lacking but it's better than last year. There are still plenty of kinks to iron out but it is preseason still. I was impressed. My final thoughts after the scrimmage was that this team will be able to score and shoot the ball. Last year we played decently but struggled to get enough offense going. That will not be a problem. I actually thought the defense played well during the scrimmage. Turnovers, I don't think you can judge of a scrimmage so that will be seen as the season goes on. I'm going to their first exhibition next week so I'll be able to say more next week

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets

Yeah I know, I was just putting his name out there for the list -
Our team averaged 39 rebounds a game last year. Vonleh averaged 9. So we are still a great rebounding team. I think we will be just fine with the rebounding. I think a combo of Holt, Davis, and HMP will be able to easily get the 9 rebounds a game we lost with Vonleh.

Josh Cunningham-Bradley. Out with an injury -
When it comes down to it. JBJ is here and happy to be here. End of story. Plus this thread is about Thomas Bryant, not Blackmon Jr
-
The video was from last year. I saw him up close at HH and he has definitely lost a lot of weight from that video.
-
The difference is that Lyle can actually play. .unlike Hollowell
-
Plus he played for Team Loaded with Thon Maker. He has ties to Thomas Bryant AND Thon Maker,,, Im in!

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU

I see this as being true for a lot of people!! -
Definitely don't want to start some sort of big argument, but I think he was only "misused" and underutilized" because he had trouble playing in traffic. He didn't pass very well out of the post and couldn't handle a double team to save his life. I thought Vonleh was a great player. I think if he would've stuck around we would've really seen something this year. There were a lot of glimpses of a great player last year. The biggest knock on him coming into college was that he wasn't aggressive enough and didn't demand the ball enough, and we saw that all year last year. Heck of a rebounder though

Thats how they work. I think they are pretty much weathermen of basketball. They all switch to the obvious school the day of the commitment once all the info as leaked and it makes it look like the actually know what they are doing hahah
