  1. Not trying to start an argument or anything but ,objectively, until now…what has Perea produced? Doing well in a dunk contest? Having awesome youtube videos?
  2. Didn't hurt my feelings. Im just saying at this point no one has a clue. Yes Perea is slated to be a starter. But think about it, is he slated to be the starter because he has played super hard in the past? Nope. He's slated to be the starter because he is one of the only options to play that position. This will be his third year and granted he hasn't been given much time in games to prove his worth, but that just means that in practices he hasn't gotten it done or in the game time he has had. I am a huge Perea fan and want him to succeed, but its comical to read people say that certain players are on the chopping block simply because we aren't familiar with that player yet
  3. Thats definitely not what Im saying. I do know basketball…. But others are saying that to make room for a new recruit that maybe certain players will be "gone" so I was just adding to it. Of course we can't just release anyone but why quote me and point it out…point it out to everyone else that seems to think we can just get rid of a player for another one
  4. Pure speculation till the season starts. Could be anyone. Im speculating as well but it could be said that Perea could be gone after this year if he doesn't produce?? Point is none of us are inside practices to see how certain players are producing
  5.   I like these snippets from "insiders/experts"...Maybe within a week or later or maybe earlier he will decide….in other words, they honestly have no clue when he will decide hahaha
  6. Shaq had 36 pts, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
  7. No we are on the same page. The original poster that I responded to was asking why everyone was getting so excited about OG if he wasn't really listed as a high recruit, so I responded with the part about Crean being as excited with his recruitment as he was with Oladipo's. Definitely not comparing the two but I could see how it could sound like that
  8. You quoted my post hahaha. I realized that my last post sounded like I was ticked off, which was not how I meant it to be.
  9. Okay well I didn't say anything about him being the next Oladipo, so don't call my posts out
  10. Yeah exactly like I said, Knight wanted to make the LSU TEAM beat them. He wanted to put the pressure on Shaq's teammates, and eventually they folded under pressure and it worked.
  11. I haven't seen anyone call him the next Oladipo…only seen people bring up what I just stated.
  12. According to OG's coach, Crean said he got as excited watching OG as he did when he was recruiting Oladipo.
  13. I think it just the classic case of someone getting big late. Coach Crean is personally heading his recruitment if that says anything. According to Og's coach, Crean has compared his talent and potential to that of Oladipo's. According to his coaches, he is from a really small town and simply not a lot of coaches get out to see him play. He did play AAU this last year and his AAU team did very well so thats why his recruitment has started to pick up. If you search his name on youtube you will find some videos of him
  14. That was the game plan. Too many teams went at Shaq trying to stop him or shut him down and they would get blown out. Knights game plan? Let Shaq get his points and just shut everyone else on his team down. Shaq wasn't going to beat IU all by himself..and he didn't
  15. I don't think he is a traditional 5. But then again I think the modern game has evolved passed the 1 through 5 position game. Plus not too many teams field a traditional lineup or a traditional big man anymore.
  16. Hanner is slated to be our starter at the 5 and he is only 6' 8"
  17. We were leading according to the guys who are "experts" and change their mind every couple of days hahahah. Im just kidding, but in all seriousness I doubt it had much to do with Noah. When Goodluck committed, IU was only 4 games into their season, so I personally don't think Noah said anything.
  18.  We played a pretty successful zone last year and they used it pretty exclusively in Canada as well.
  19. Yeah Id be WAY more than happy with a two man class of Bryant and Morgan. Thats just what the team we have no needs.
  20. I love for us to get Morgan, Bryant, and OG!!
  21. True, Crean didn't personally come out and say it, but there was an interview with Norton Hurd, Anunoby's AAU coach and he said "Tom Crean's been personally recruiting him and he (Crean) said he got the same feeling he did when he recruited Victor Oladipo."
  22. Just depends on who you ask haha. Crean has stated that OG has Oladipo-type potential! I definitely trust that.
  23. I'll give you that on Watford. Hard to believe that he was actually that far up in the rankings( I just looked it up on espn). Elston was a 4 star, kid was a beast in high school. Creek was also in the top 100. Hulls was only a 3 star with two offers coming out of high school , but his production changed a lot of that.  Its interesting to look at it all. Thanks for the info. Here's to hoping 2015 and all future classes turns out a lot better than 2012 haha
  24. How would it not? Two 4 stars and a 5 star in one class? Sure "The Movement" was highly ranked but look how that panned out. Last year's class had Stan, Troy, Vonleh and Fischer all in the top 100 but it's still early for that class. We can go back and look at the classes that brought in Jordy and Watford, but those guys weren't highly recruited out of high school. Zeller was the only big recruit in his class. Like someone else said, it's early to tell but if you look at it rankings wise, this would be one of Crean's top classes in my opinion
  25. I was not bashing anyone in any way, all I was saying was that I thought that was the reason he was not coming to IU. I didn't bash a single person. Now someone else is making assumptions. Dude its a message board, calm down
