Trey and Tony will be fine. The Johnson/Stewarts, etc. will be gone in a couple of years. Then what? They are 4 year players. Give them time to develop and compete. They'll come out stronger for it and so will the team.

Frankly, I think we need to be wait and see on everyone -- except maybe TJD. Every player has to improve and improve those skills CMW values. We have a long way to go before we are projecting starters and PT.

I know we are talking about portal transfers, but we are getting kind of top heavy and PT is getting thin. Any value in looking at high schoolers and building for the future. Only 1 incoming can't be good (thanks Archie, you asshat).

I think it depends on the circumstances of the transfer. Mo was delt a crappy deck of cards by the big man upstairs. He put in his time at IU, but the team passed him by and found a little success as transfer. Al got his degree, so he met his obligation. Actually, Justin Smith did to, I think. If Armaan can't make Mike Woodson and his former teamates work for him, then good riddence.

I’m guessing Lewis would say “yes, but let me check a few things out first.” Still a few HC spots open like AZ that he might have interest in. I’d have no issue with him perusing HC jobs first. I want my assistants to be coveted HC candidates.

I remember that night. We had stadium seating set up, probably higher than it should have been. A keg in the corner. And 100 or so boys and girls watching. When Smart hit that shot, everything broke down as everyone rushed forward, screaming "holly chit." A few moments later it was an all out sprint to the fountain. Freaking awesome. I know where the fish is and it will be returned when we hang No. 6. Unlike the eyedoc, I never left. BTN really helped that. Catch as many games as possible. After the Wat Shot, brought the young kid to the Ohio State game -- packed and loud like it's supposed to be. He's there now and I pray IU can see success on the court for these kids. I am loving the Woody train.

As I said earlier, if Armaan has professional aspirations, who better than Mike Woodson to help him get there.

Yes and no. The assistant coaches take the lead from the head coach. If the head coach isn't into player development, who is the assistant to take the players and develop them. Kinda have to tread lightly going against the head coach. Oh, and CA sux.

Armaan was a key player on a bad IU team. Either it was bad because the players where bad (and if so, don't let the door hit you on the way out) or they had a HOF asshat for a coach. I'll take the latter. IU is on the upside. Restoring the traditions that made it great and putting pieces into place to have a great run and future success. The programs he's looking at are on the downside and all have their issues. Louisville is potentially in trouble. ND hasn't been relevant, ever. U of I, well they made their run, got bounced, and their best player is gone -- as is typical for U of I, they'll be back to mediocrity soon. Second, if Armaan has any desire to play at the next level, show me a college coach with a better NBA resume of working with NBA level players. Granted, we don't know how Woodson's in game coaching and style is going to translate to the college game and result in wins. What we do know is he spent 30 some years of his life working in the NBA and knows what it takes to get there and stay there. A couple of years with Woodson could be worth millions.

Got to give Archie credit. He sucked. Last year's team was better than 12-15. This year's team is going to be a lot better, even with the same players.

Which is why it makes zero sense that he hasn't committed yet. He's getting bad advice from somewhere. Both TJD and Lander's dads "committed" within 5 min. of speaking to Woodson.
