The reality is that last year was a waste year and he shouldn’t have reclassified. This is really his freshman year and if he looks at it, he’s the future. Phin going to graduate. Don’t know about Johnson, only one year here? And I’ll bet he sees his time going forward as phin is usually dinged up during the year.

They definitely thru up some prayers in the first half.

There is a lot to like from this game. And a few things to fix. But this team is for real. Bring on the Big10.

I’m good with the hookers. Shows we have smart players who realize it’s cheaper to rent.

I have no issue if we loose a few. We will. But what I’ll be looking for are fixes. Do we continue to do the same mistakes are do we improve week to week. Did we loose because they had better talent or where we out coached, out hustled, out worked. I see Woody building up a program that we can be proud of.

Just listening to woody you can see the man is a great coach. Tons of knowledge but humble enough to know he doesn’t know everything and needs to trust his coaches. I think it was last night he mentioned the zone defense and that it’s not something he’s used to so the other coaches will need to step up. The stage is set for Syracuse next week to see how they really do. It will be a big test for this team. I also love the fact that he has to run when the turnovers exceed 12. Talk about pressure on these kids.

Post game Woody said it was time to start getting the offense up to speed. Will be nice to see what they work on the next few weeks.

Several players are noticeably better this year. TJD, Race and Geranimo to start. Add in some of the new guys you don’t have Archie baggage like Bates, Kopp, XJ. Magic 8 ball says “ outlook good.”

Right. But that assumes Woody can't/won't adjust. The best coaches adjust their systems to fit the talent they have. Unfortunately, we have been thru two coaches who where too stubborn to adjust.

Why? Coaching is coaching. And coaching the best players is actually harder cause they know it all.

We got lazy and everyone wanted to get their three in. No offensive flow. Just a rec center game — I’m open, shoot. It will get better. Need to keep the intensity all game.

This was the plan all along. Nothing to learn from a blowout. :)

You guys are a bunch of downers. This event was hastily put together and held an hour before football with Michigan. Add the mask mandates and you aren’t going to pack the place. My kid went because he and his buddies got a bunch a free tickets from a player. But none of the side show matters. What matters is in game performance and wins baby. And we are setup for success. We will surprise the Big 10 this year. Mark it. You heard it here first. Woody has done a lot of things right — kept the team together, added some transfer players, landed some recruits, brought back the history, tradition, and Pride. We are significantly better than we where a few months ago. Countdown to Tuesday starts now. Get ready baby.

When you’re winning and competing for a Big 10 championship and an ncaa championship there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

There are certain events you don’t take kids to. Cubs vs Sox. Cubs vs cardinals, bears vs packers and so on. Sounds like IU v Ohio state at night after a day of drinking g is one of them.

IDK. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks it’s a little cringeworthy to parade the players around like a circus side show. It’s like Jose Conseco and Pete Rose signing autographs at an obscure card show.

I was in town and thought of going, but the rain kept me away. If I had to wear a mask I would skip as well. Started pre-game for the lousy football game instead.
