  1. We just don’t have the horses. Trayce, Race, Galloway, And maybe Parker. They can’t do it all. Kapp is a quite role player. X is kind of a bust. The kids Bates and Geranimo are work in progress but not quite there. We need a guard with the killer instinct and don’t have one. I still think things are pointed up, but this is going to be an up and down year.
  2. My take is that you now have two guys who know what the IU culture has to be -- Woody and Fife. They both lived it. And the both got a little red a$$ in them. They are moving in the right direction. It's clear that Woodson was born for this job. He's living his dream. The NBA gigs where his career. IU is his blood, sweat and tears. This team has warts, no question. But they have them moving in the right direction. I don't have the stats, but certainly our free throw pct. has to be way up the last few games. 3 pt. pct. should up as well. Defense is solid and we are now seeing more offensive movement. Success is contagious. Galloway provides the spark. Phin goes off today like he should. Trace is Trace. The game becomes fun again. Wining is fun. Some of you are just negative nancys. I'll admit, after the Wisconin let down and Penn State I was on the ledge. But beating the phukeyes makes up for a lot. I'm trying to figure out how to pull off the ultimate IU road trip. Thursday Jan 20 vs. Purdon't and staying to watch Michigan get kicked on Sunday. Just win baby.
  3. Welcome to IU basketball the past 20 years. :)
  4. I spent the last part of the second half explaining to my SR IU son that some Indiana kids are just born to be a Hoosier and how Galloway fits that bill. A "1 star" kid that grows up knowing how to play the game, plays with energy, and does what he's supposed to. Call me old fashioned but IU history is full of those guys.
  5. Yep gotta wear the suit at away games, period.
  6. Don't need full blown Bobby Knight motion. But a simple pass and cut, or even pass and slide down to the corner, or movement off the ball, etc. would be exponentially better than pass and stand. The guys on this team aren't athletic enough right now to create their own opportunties. They need some help -- a simple screen to get Kopp or Stewart open for a clean look would work wonders.
  7. You need motion to run a motion offense. Leal is the only one I have seen really use motion to his advantage. I think Galloway does, but it's been a while since we have seen him. It's time to use the bench as a motivator. An absolutely terrible game. Gigantic setback. You need to win the one's you're supposed to. They better get their chit together or this thing will be over by Sunday.
  8. He sees the floor well. At one point I saw him point to where the other guy should pass the ball.
  9. I’m guessing it is. “I understand you’re sticking up for a teammate but we have to be disciplined. No fist half for you.” Has any other player had a T of that nature?
  10. From what I see Leal is the only one who passes the ball to TJD then cuts through. Must have done it 4-5 times Saturday. As for PG, my own opinion is we don’t need the traditional walk the ball up, call the play type. Rob seems to do that a lot and slows them down. Go watch some older games, ie; the semi final vs UNLV and tell me we need a traditional point guard. Grab the rebound and go get into your offense — stop farqing around.
  11. They could add Indiana State. :)
  12. Looks like he has tape on his shin. Wonder if he’s been dinged up?
  13. I saw him get after X in the first half when he had that foul where the Wis player actually hooked him.
  14. Idk. People fall for the hype. He’s probably a good kid who’s gotten some bad advice. Suck it up, stick it out, grind, and outplay the other two.
  15. I get it, but that's what leaders do. Busted play, go make something happen.
  16. I may be wrong, but I think the failure to get a shot up with 10 sec in the Syracuse game is playing a part.
  17. Do we beat Wisconsin at home in Feb?
  18. Ouch Debbie Downer. :)
  19. Yeah, no. Next time I go thru West lala I'm going to take a dump.
  20. I give you IU vs. Indiana State 90-69. Then I give you IU vs IUPFW 92-72. We are a long way from that crap.
  21. Get off the ledge guys. Sure we spazzed the game away. Woulda , coulda, shoulda. We'll get there. It's still early. Not going to be a straight line. This will be a different team come March than it is today.
  22. Exactly. 1998 goes back to the Knight years folks. Wis at home is a tough place.
  23. Thanks Tim McCarver.
