Bradshaw is the perfect 17-18 mpg big this team needs off the bench. He’s a quality depth piece and good enough to the point where you won’t fall off a cliff if Samet or Sherrell get hurt. His lack of development over the course of his career is concerning, but at this stage he is what he is and that’s more than competent for the role we need to fill the most.

Kinda nice, ESPN’s final 2026 recruiting rankings has IU at 25th. So 3rd top portal class, 25th 2026 class rank

Harris has me curious as hell. Such a great shooting stroke and was young and buried behind bigger names at Duke. He is a season changer if he becomes Lamar Wilkerson-lite.

As others have theorized, it’s likely a money thing. It’d be nice if we had an ace left up our sleeve, though. I think the Burton/Sherrell combo has enough potential synergy to be season defining on its own. But yea…odds are your assessment is correct.

This roster is so different from last year or anything Devries has had before it is either a generational overcorrection, or Carr has a little more runway than it appears from the outside and this is what he prefers. I kind of like it as a high floor/low ceiling roster that can be built on next year

My fear is that they are putting a feather in their cap for this portal haul and pretty much calling it good. Close to Non playable depth pieces will be the death of next season. Imo Dusty..Michigan figured it out pretty quickly and there is no reason we can’t do the same. It would be nice to go into one season with confidence instead of a bunch of ??? I would really like to see the staff pull in someone like Devin Williams at this late date and I would think we are starting to give ourselves a competitive edge.

Lindsay is pretty much a known quantity too. Sisley, Harris and Mustaf are the keys to the season surpassing expectations.

Last weekend, several EYBL team did not make the trip to Atlanta as there was some kind of an event in the DMV area. Those teams got together this weekend. In today's second game, Lyons and Veney faced each other. I haven’t pulled up much video but he’s supposedly a slasher who is pretty mediocre efficiency wise inside the arc (lots of long 2’s?) but shoots the 3 ball well but on less than 2 attempts per game. We’ll see what this new staff is made of with his and Harris’s scouts. Two gambles whom we apparently loved. Sherrel and Burton aren’t without their warts either but I think you probably get enough of both that even their potential downside is worth it. If Carrs scout is right on those 4 and CDD can coach em up, there’s a lot of potential there.

I think if we had last years team with Sherrell, Yigitoglu and Burton minus Bailey, Acamovic and Conerway, we'd be pretty jacked about it. The only difference maker that somewhat fits in the portal is Momcilovic. My concern is that we flipped our previous weaknesses and strengths. I guess the difference is, this year we have guys that have shot well in the past but are unproven and you cant teach size. Did we push it too far one way? Remains to be seen. Odds are we're looking for emergency players, but it would be cool if we got Momcilovic.

This one hits a little harder. Our family became close to AZ through my bil working for Chip for many years. Great driver(The Pass at Laguna comes to mind), even Greater human being. RIP

Wildcats take today's game 7-4 despite the fact we outhit them 11-5. Unfortunately, 1 of their 5 was a 3-RBI double and another a 2-4 run HR. Thomas and Yarberry split mound duties this afternoon for IU. Denny went 4-4 but not a one of his 4 hits scored a run. Malamazian was our RBI leader with 2. Rubber game tomorrow at 2:00 ET.

16-0, OL coach developing players into NFL potential. Seems like a good enough pitch to me. I'm biased though. Lol. Best of luck whatever this young man decides. Hope he chooses 812FB when it's all said and done.

Women take game #2 7-3. They trailed 3-1 going into the bottom of the 4th but scored 4 runs and added 1 in the 5th and another in the 6th. Hess, Mannon and Hooks held Illinois to 4 hits and walked 3. We had 12 hits Mannon going 3-3 and 3 other women 2-4. Alex Cooper had 3 RBI. We go for the weekend sweep tomorrow at 1:00.

Realistically don’t think we’re adding more than depth at this point. It’s a roster that should be able to contend in the top half of the B1G and make the tourney, we just missed the tourney this season with a decidedly weaker roster, my only real concern is depth to deal with injuries, fatigue, and secondary ball handling. We did get the number 3 ranked overall portal roster so can’t really fault how they spent portal money. imo this is the real build year where we do pretty well in conf and make the tourney, second round maybe one more, important point is this roster remains eligible so we can then add pieces next season after decent success and we continue to get better

These are all good points and things to hope for but if we’re going to be spending $20 million on a roster, we might as well go all the way so that we can make a deep run in the tournament and contend in the upper tier of the big. I know we’re not done yet and so this is just speculation but with what’s left, it’s not looking so great unless they pull a magic rabbit out of a hat, but one can only hope.

We could step on the court and not get embarrassed. Plenty of players to play single big one out.

Kinda suspicious that everybody who “voted” for him is now dead. Just saying. On topic I’ve been training for an outlast race in Oct and IU football games are the perfect thing to watch while I am regretting that choice. Just watched us curb stomp Alabama and anybody who wants to say Black is slow needs to rewatch that game

IMO need another PG. Bossi was really high on Harris as a 4 star HS recruit, for his shooting and inside game, he may be flying under the radar a bit here as buried on Duke’s deep bench. Should have pretty good outside shooting at this point, Lindsay 37% on 6 apg, Harris only at 30% but that’s on 1 apg in limited time at a Duke he’s a better shooter than that, Mustaff 37%, Burton 33%. would expect a nice frosh to soph jump from Sisley. Showed good promise in a number of games but hit the freshman wall. We are already bigger, more athletic and more skilled across the floor than last year except for Wilkerson (wish we had him this season). Need at least 2 if not the 3 adds for depth. Interested to see who it ends up being
